My checklist when taking trades:
1- what is the current trend; Daily, H4, H1.
2- How strong is the level or zone I'm trading on?
3- The time/session of the day; London or New York.
I always think in probability when it comes to the outcome. It can be a win/loss
The moment I heard that winners have lost more times than anyone, I stopped paying attention to my failures.
I realized that every loss, setback, and mistake was simply part of the journey.
The destination matters more than the setbacks along the way. 💯🔥
Trading is not a get-rich-quick scheme.
- Time will compound your money
- Experience will compound your skills
- Mistakes will compound your knowledge
Trading is a long journey.
To keep going in anything you want to achieve, especially when things aren’t clicking, you need to detach yourself from the outcome.
Don’t be outcome-focused. Just focus on the process.
Profitable trading is boring.
Until you learn to embrace the boredom, patience, and discipline that come with following your trading system, it will be difficult to make consistent money in the forex market.
Consistency comes from doing the same right things over and over again.
The time you execute a trade is very important in forex .
For my time spent in the market, the worst times to trade are Monday during the London session and Friday after the NYSE session opens.
These can be very manipulative periods because there is less volume in the market .
Don’t focus on making money; focus on protecting what you have."
Capital preservation is the name of the game.
Profits will naturally follow once you learn how to protect your trading account.
Trading is weird.
you can spend YEARS feeling like nothing makes sense
then one day it just starts clicking
and suddenly the thing you struggled with for years starts feeling… simple
one clean month can make up for YEARS of being red
you just have to stay in the game long
After 4-5 years...
Trading becomes automatic.
1) Spot a trade
2) Trade
3) Win/Lose
4) Repeat
You don't care about 1 loss.
You don't care about 1 win.
You care about monthly goals.
Weekly goals.
Yearly goals.
Trading is the one avenue where people tell you it's "gambling"
EVERYTHING in life is a gamble.
Even a 9-5 career is a gamble because you could easily get laid off.
Nothing is gauruanteed in this world outside death.
Take calculated gambles.
