When i spoke about this, the next thing that happened was that my business was threatened.
I cried for days on end because me asking questions suddenly meant i am spoiling people’s work.
Someone told me no clearing agent will help me clear again cos i spoke up.
We are evil
one time i was annoyed by how the lift kept announcing each floor and my friend reminded me that blind people need it and I felt so ashamed. Sometimes we get truly blind to our privilege. just because something is not helpful for you doesn't mean some else won't need it.

Japan suffered the results from mercury poisoning. In the mid-20th century, minamata bay became the site for one of the world’s most infamous environmental disasters. For years a company called Chisso Corporation discharged mercury into their waterbodies which lead to toxic chemical buildup in fish and the main source of food for local communities. It resulted in thousands of people developed what became known as Minamata disease, a neurological disorder marked by muscle weakness, tremors, slurred speech, blindness, paralysis and even death. Babies exposed in the womb were born with lifelong disabilities. We are already seeing effects of Galamsey on people living within those communities. What will it take for us to rise up and fight against this menace? #StopGalamseyNow
