@bryansgunn First, welcome back 👏👏👏
But back to back videos with no sight of Dion 🤷
If Micah & Lampard can make cameos, a case can be argued that Dion should’ve kept his role, respectfully ☺️
Where do we sign the petition 😅
@Sinzu_7 @RealMCFs @LyesBouzidi10 Put it this way, if you win Balon dor now, you’re considered the best player. When Owen his, that’s wasn’t the case. The best player in the world was Figo in 2001. So Owen’s Balon might look like Messi’s and Ronaldo’s- but ain’t the same value, just same trophy shape
@Sinzu_7 @RealMCFs @LyesBouzidi10 It does- back in Owen’s day, votes were from UEFA countries while the Balon d’or now votes are from all over the world. In Platini, Kaiser etc days, FIFA award wasn’t a thing, as it’s started 1991. So top gong was Balon d’or, however when Owen won it- Balon d’or wasn’t the top
@RealMCFs @LyesBouzidi10 I remember being very disappointed him not winning it, I think Figo did 😤
But Owen himself has been trying to con us for years now by comparing his Balon d’or to the one Messi & Ronaldo wins. He does that Jeremy Clarkson type of tweet whenever A-level results are out 🤮
@RealMCFs @LyesBouzidi10 This isn’t talked about enough as every year Owen jumps on the bandwagon by parading his Balon d’or when Messi/Ronaldo wins. To be clear, the one Owen won was the second best individual award in those years. The best player in the world was given a “FIFA World Player of the Year”
@AnfieldEdition Torres leaving literally sets us back 5+ years whilst Coutinho’s departure made us who we are today- so hell yeah, reception,ovation-build him a statue if he wants one 😀
