El presidente Javier Milei afirmó en una entrevista que atender a los sectores de la economía a los que les va mal es "una brutalidad y una ignorancia enorme". Acto seguido sostuvo que quien propone intervenir sobre la microeconomía "está proponiendo hacer corrupción" y que son "asesinos potenciales".

¿Cuál es el grado de miserabilidad de un dirigente capaz de pronunciar semejantes palabras? ¿Hasta dónde llega su pretendida crueldad? Ese es el discurso de Milei. Y no está dirigido a un enemigo imaginario ni a un adversario político: está dirigido, en los hechos, a millones de argentinos.

Para ellos, la macroeconomía es la deuda que toman y luego fugan. Traen dólares del FMI o de los socios financieros de Luis Caputo y los hacen salir por otra vía. La microeconomía, en cambio, es la vida cotidiana de la inmensa mayoría de los argentinos: de quienes no llegan a fin de mes, de los jubilados que deben elegir entre comprar alimentos o remedios, de las familias que viven con el temor permanente de no poder pagar el alquiler y terminar en la calle.

Esa realidad concreta, la de millones de personas, es la que Milei desprecia cuando descalifica cualquier intento de aliviar el sufrimiento social. Y esa es, quizás, la expresión más acabada de la crueldad de su proyecto.

As someone who grew up in Seattle and was surrounded by people working at Boeing/SeaTac, both on the engineering and piloting side...I have been aware of this one for a long time, and can add some personal anectodal sauce to the mix (although I have to keep it vague for privacy/safety reasons).

I have physically sat down and had conversations with multiple people who either currently work, or have worked as (A) the guy who attaches the hose to the plane wing for fueling, and (B) the lead pilot sitting in the cockpit, who communicates to the fueler to "stop" when their dashboard gauge ticks from "empty" to "full".

From what I've gathered on the subject, both through independent research, 8+ years of consistent flying + observation on the supposed numbers, and private discussions with those with experience/knowledge inside the industry, I will simply say this...

There's a reason why conspiracy theorists are the undefeated champions of the modern world.
