Here's a view of the beach at #PointDefiancePark before the promenade! After the octagonal Boathouse Pavilion was built in 1903, crowds would often spend time on the waterfront enjoying the cool breezes off Puget Sound.
The McKenzie Brothers operated the Old Tacoma Transfer Company along N 30th St in the early 20th century. Brothers William, Neil, and Richard delivered fuel to local homes and businesses.
