On Feb 23, 2021 Package Control was notified of a package takeover vulnerability in the default channel. Details of the reporting, mitigation and vulnerability at https://t.co/gkmYX8nnDT.
@marios_ant There was a registration issue, which results in DNS being set to a landing page. Everything has been fixed now. Most likely you've got some cached DNS going on.
The Package Control server will be down in a few minutes for an hour or two to migrate back to the original IP address. This should restore access to the channel and site for users in China.
If you were experiencing connectivity issues once the server was back online, please try again. There was an issue with IPv6 and Nginx until an hour ago.
The server should be back online now. If you are still seeing issues, please ensure https://t.co/GaAbWKMph0 now resolves to 74.207.232.232. DNS caches may take a little while to clear.
A new server has been provisioned and configured. The vast majority of data has been recovered and imported in the new server. Right now I am working on some final data cleanup and then testing before cutting DNS over.
