@LitMoose True. But you and I both also know that some have bigger and more frequent problems because they are lazy and/or irresponsible. “It can happen to anyone,” can’t become a reason to excuse bad choices and shoddy work.

@tweetthehat @HackingDave Also, the lion’s share of road repair funding in most states comes from gas taxes. So there’s a real need to replace that revenue as it declines due to EV use. It’s not an “ostensible” answer. MANY states, but just red states, are doing this.
