Pep Guardiola is much more than just an unbelievable manager.
He spoke up for the people of Palestine, Sudan and Congo while others looked away.
Pep used his platform to defend our shared humanity. That will never be forgotten. Thank you, Pep.
During an appearance on the “All-In” podcast, former President Donald Trump proposed granting green cards to foreign students who successfully complete college (including junior colleges) in the United States.
In the interview, Trump said, “What I wanna do — and what I will do — is, you graduate from a college, I think you should get automatically, as part of your diploma, a green card to be able to stay in this country.” Trump highlighted the difficulties faced by international graduates who are forced to leave the US despite having career plans or business ideas. He also said some of these foreign students go back to their home countries and start multi-billion dollar businesses.
This proposal mirrors a concept from Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, where she suggested “stapling” a green card to STEM graduates’ diplomas. In addition to Clinton, President Joe Biden has previously Suggested a similar plan.
Some stats for you:
According to Prosperity for America, approximately 1.36 million international students are enrolled in colleges and universities across the United States. The largest groups of international students come from China (290,086) and India (199,182).
