Hey @SouthwestAir you guys need to fix your system issues when it comes to changing a reservation originally booked with a travel agency. In 18 years I’ve always upgraded my flight with my own money after company paid base fare. It’s only way I get #companionpass yearly. 1/2

For years, politicians have not been permitted to give speeches at the official Ground Zero ceremony. The day is deliberately kept focused on the victims, their families and the people who ran toward those burning buildings.

Clinton showed up today.
Bush showed up.
Obama showed up.
Biden showed up.

None of them needed a microphone.
None of them needed applause.
None of them needed September 11 to be about them.

Donald Trump wanted to speak. When Ground Zero wouldn't give him the stage, he ran to the Pentagon where he could demand one.

And he gave his speech anyway.

Like a petulant child who couldn't get his way, the President of the United States apparently couldn't simply stand silently with the families and honor their dead.

He needed a microphone. He needed a stage. He needed to make himself part of the story.

That is what makes this so profoundly disrespectful.

2,977 people were murdered on September 11.

Thousands of families woke up this morning remembering a husband, wife, mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister or friend who never came home.

Their grief does not belong to Donald Trump.
Their sacrifice is not a backdrop for Donald Trump.
September 11 is not a Donald Trump event.

There are days when a president should lead.
There are days when a president should speak.
And there are days when a president should shut up the fuck up, bow his head, and remember the dead.
Today was one of those days.

🚨 UPDATE: HERE IS EVERYTHING WE KNOW SO FAR ABOUT THE AMAZON PRIME AIR 767 THAT RAN OFF THE RUNWAY AT MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

The Boeing 767-300 cargo plane, operated by 21 Air for Amazon Prime Air, was flying Cargo South 7598 / N1997A from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Miami.

The aircraft overran Runway 30 during landing, crossed the airport perimeter and ended up near NW 67th Avenue/perimeter road.

The aircraft appears to have come to rest right outside a Tesla charging/parking area near the airport.

Massive plumes of black smoke were seen coming from the aircraft, and a fire was reported. All runways and taxiways were temporarily closed and a ground stop was issued at MIA.

Video of the landing appears to show the Boeing 767 beginning to lean to one side before veering off the runway.

WHAT CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO LEAN IS NOT YET KNOWN.

A possible landing gear failure has been suggested, but that has NOT been confirmed.

🎧 AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL AUDIO FROM THE INCIDENT HAS ALSO EMERGED.

UNCONFIRMED REPORTS ARE CURRENTLY CIRCULATING OF 6 FATALITIES, ALONG WITH INJURIES.

THE DEATH TOLL HAS NOT BEEN OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED.
