After an anti-ICE demonstration in Spokane, local residents Jac Archer, Bajun Mavalwalla, and Justice Forall are now facing an absurd and cruel prosecution in federal court on felony conspiracy charges.

These were charges so obviously motivated by politics that the former federal prosecutor Richard Barker resigned his position rather than continue with the case.

This trial is happening now in Spokane, and it's time to start paying attention to this out-of-control federal government.

Oh and that right-wing radio blatherer @thehoffather just had a guest on from Washington Policy Center to help promote their bullshit. Wow that’s some incredible journalism there, jackass!

Anyway, all those sold-out sons-of-bitches are lying to the electorate here in Washington state and are making the world worse for everyone except their rich donors.

For instance, check this out. The Washington Policy Center commissioned some poorly-written study based on some opaque modeling that said your taxes are going to reverse Washington’s GDP growth immediately and for years to come.

This same stupid study is now the top link informing Google’s AI about what your tax reforms are going to do while responding to an innocuous web search. Check out the pic.

Do better. Get on message. Churn out content. Forget national politics. Fight these goons not only in Olympia but also in media.

The @WAPolicyCenter is using some paper they commissioned to talk about the dire consequences Washington faces for daring to tax the rich.

Did you see the citations in this paper? On the page screenshotted below they were all formatted incorrectly and differently from each other. For $5 million in annual funding from corporations and billionaires, we’d expect at least the basic formatting to be correct by these lobbyist goons.

The paper didn’t really say how it used data from government subsidies of Russian petroleum companies to determine how big of a drop in Washington's timber sales would result from a minor hike in the B&O tax, but they insist they have a "model."

Guess we’ll just have to take their word for all those numbers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What if this paper turns out to be utter horseshit? In 2031 is the Washington Policy Center going to commission a follow-up on how well the model worked?

Or are they just gonna cite this piece of shit for now and then forget about it when the issue is over and they’ve moved on to the next thing to work on at the direction of their creepy, anonymous donors.

We don’t have enough time for that, so we’re gonna make a judgment call based on these facts:

(A) This paper has sloppy formatting errors,
(B) This paper doesn’t reveal its methodology, and
(C) The Washington Policy Center is part of a national group of lobbyists who receive their funding from greedy psychos who expect the Washington Policy Center to effect changes in their best interests.

With all this in mind, we’re just gonna call it bullshit.
