We can’t move forward without acknowledging and repenting for the past + aligning this nation with love.
Voter suppression is racism. When the vote is suppressed, it may target Black, brown, & indigenous people, but it allows people to get elected who then use their political power to block living wages, healthcare, & social uplift programs for all people, regardless of their race.

I laid in my bed in tears last night. The estimated life expectancy of a Black trans woman is only 35 years old. I’m 36 today. I’m more than a statistic, and so are my sisters. Everyday we fight for racial & gender justice, is another day we stand the chance of beating the odds.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions from my non-Black friends about how to be a better ally to Black people. I suggest unlearning and relearning through literature as just one good jumping off point, and have broken up my anti-racist reading list into sections:
