@elonmusk Absolutely agree — the silent filibuster has to go. The Founders never baked a 60-vote supermajority into the Constitution for ordinary legislation; they explicitly rejected it as a poison to republican government (see Hamilton in Federalist 22). Checks and balances are already built in: bicameralism (two houses), the Senate's longer 6-year terms for cooler heads, and the President's veto (only overridable by 2/3). Time to return to majority rule and actually get things done.
I just cosponsored @RepGregSteube's bill to abolish the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
USAID sends billions of American tax dollars overseas. When it spends at home, it's subsidizing subscriptions to left-leaning outlets like @politico.
End USAID.
This isn’t complicated.
Separate the bills and vote on them individually.
one vote on the clean CR
one vote on the debt limit
one vote on disaster relief
one vote on farm bailouts
Radical right? Individual bills for each issue.
.@NancyMace should not be defending reality and the rights of women on Capitol Hill alone. Tag your congressman here to tell him or her to keep men out of the women's bathroom.
This is stunning: The New York Times "plagiarism expert" now confirms that the paper deliberately withheld the full Kamala Harris plagiarism report from him and that, after analyzing the full claims, Harris's plagiarism is "more serious" than he told the Times.
California Coastal Commission literally confessed to illegal regulatory lawfare against @SpaceX and Elon Musk.
Not only is what they're saying completely ridiculous but it has absolutely nothing to do with their mandate of conserving the state's coastline – They will be sued.
