@rpomumbai @DrSJaishankar They said that now rectification can only be done in the RPO, so I'm waiting outside the gate since 9:00 am, so that my ECR status can be changed before my Passport is printed.

I am a student in Final year https://t.co/Gdq5AxJi64, staying in Thane. I had applied for a fresh Non ECR passport a few days back and today I had an appointment at PSK Thane.(9/8/23).

@rpomumbai @DrSJaishankar PSK Thane changed my ECR status without informing. They put my ECR status as 'Yes' even though my 10th School Leaving Certificate was attached. When I realised it and immediately went back to them, the manager said that now the file has been sent to RPO Mumbai, BKC.

Now it seems to have become a prestige issue for them and security has been instructed to not entertain any Xrequests

Instead of rectifying at the initial stage, I was told to change it after I received this ECR passport. Why should I do all the process and the payment again for a mistake by the government officials?
