My manager was talking about a patient who has depression and autism. She was saying that self neglect is a personal choice. I wholeheartedly disagree. Not being able to look after yourself properly due to a medical condition and neurodivergance is not a choice imo.
I’ve just ghosted a person who told me ‘I just love how you are so open about your mental health’ This was a response to me being really excited to reveal the news that I am #ActuallyAutistic
@IAmIronMan42522 The fascinating thing is that some ‘static’ neurotypical individuals actually strongly believe this is socially acceptable. And the cannot possibly understand how this is literally traumatising me. I am happy to share a specific story that illustrates this if you are interested
@IAmIronMan42522 It will help you to know that I am going through the fascinating process of unmasking right now. And this is why I am so suddenly able to do this with such clarity and certainty
@IAmIronMan42522 So this makes complete sense to me. Apart from (3/3; I talk too much). I can can appreciate the sentiment. However I literally cannot possibly fathom why you have written these numbers, words and (;)
@IAmIronMan42522 I would describe this as an organic reason why we as 1% struggle to communicate and understand the other 99% eg. Non-autistic. I appreciate this may appear quite bold and frank for a number of reasons
@AlresfordBear Sorry this is like a different language to me. I literally have no idea what you are implying
Can you do me the decency of elaborating please?
