Older than the United Kingdom you pretend to serve. From that charming continental debut it was only a short, elegant step to Kelvinside, Glasgow's most gilded postcode, then Laurel Bank School (private, naturally), Edinburgh University, and Georgetown in Washington D.C. The establishment didn't just write your script. They bound it in leather and had it delivered by hand.

Your father Nick Kuenssberg OBE, director of Bank of Scotland, Standard Life, Scottish Power. Your mother Sally Kuenssberg CBE. Your grandfather Lord Robertson, High Court judge. Your great-uncle Sir James Robertson, last colonial Governor-General of Nigeria. Your brother, Director General at the Home Office. Your sister, former high commissioner to Mozambique, now at Shell. Your husband James Kelly, management consultant, Harvard. The Kuenssbergs don't have connections. They are the connection.

But of course, darling, mere aristocratic privilege was never going to be enough for a talent as special as yours. You required £290,000 per year of public money for the privilege of your presence. The licence fee. The tax on every television in the land. And yet, somehow, you still required a bodyguard at the 2017 Labour Party conference. The working classes you lecture threatened your safety. Poor Laura. The foreign-born aristocrat who fears the natives.

And then, the masterpiece. In January 2017 the BBC Trust ruled against you. Officially. They found you breached accuracy and impartiality guidelines. You reported on Jeremy Corbyn's views on shoot-to-kill after the Paris terror attacks. You misrepresented his words. Used an answer to a different question as though it were his answer on terror. Made him appear opposed to protecting British citizens. Falsified a political leader's position on terrorism during a national security crisis. The BBC Trust called it "not duly accurate." A breach at a time of "extreme national concern." Your employer found you guilty of fabrication. A found fabricator. On the public dime.

You didn't stop there, of course. You tweeted that Omar Salem was a Labour activist. The father with the sick child in the hospital ward. The man who confronted Johnson about NHS cuts. You fed him to the wolves. Deleted the tweet. Apologised. The damage done. This is how you treat the public you claim to serve.

Then the Boris Johnson gaffe. You sent your briefing notes to Johnson by mistake. The interview cancelled. You called it embarrassing. The BBC called it untenable. You are too incompetent to deceive properly.

And now, darling, here you are in 2026, still clutching your £290,000 microphone, still explaining British politics to the British from your East London home, still the Italian-born von Kuenssberg who falsifies terror policy for narrative.

Conservative peer Lord Ranger is suing Sir Keir Starmer in a free speech row after his CBE was revoked over comments made on social media.

Lord Ranger, a Tory peer and successful businessman, was awarded the CBE for services to business and community cohesion. He says he is the victim of “cancel culture”.

His lawyers will argue that the decision to revoke his honour was disproportionate and will have a chilling effect on the right of public figures to speak out on controversial issues.

The Free Speech Union has said “ruthlessly stripping” Lord Ranger of his honour over “perfectly lawful” comments is “beyond the pale”.

Lord Ranger’s lawyers say the case will test the Government’s legal right to “cancel” an individual rather than protect free speech.

The decision is said to have left Lord Ranger deeply embarrassed and distressed.

The Forfeiture Committee — a shadowy body in Whitehall — was responsible for the decision. The FSU has cited the committee’s activities in its opposition to the Government’s Removal of Peerages Bill, which could be used to hound peers out of Parliament over a slip of the tongue or a social media post, as well as to silence political opponents who do not subscribe to prevailing orthodoxies.

Lord Young of Acton said he was alarmed by the decision to strip Lord Ranger of his honour.

He said: “This shadowy committee, deep in the recesses of Whitehall, has become an enforcer of establishment orthodoxy, ruthlessly stripping people of their honours for expressing perfectly lawful views that it regards as beyond the pale.

“The reason this has such a chilling effect on free speech is that being denuded of an honour is far, far worse than not being given one in the first place. It’s deeply humiliating, with your dishonour being broadcast in the Gazette.

“If people knew that receiving an OBE or a CBE was accompanied by a muzzle, with the risk that if you stray outside the Overton window you could lose it, I doubt many people would accept them in the first place.”

🚨 Astonishingly, the heads of the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service’s (GMFRS) ‘race and faith’ network have sent an email to firefighters, targeting staff members standing as candidates for Reform UK.

The email stated these individuals were "spoken to" and that management is seeking "legal guidance" to protect their "inclusive culture."

Sending an anti-Reform UK political broadcast on public systems during a regulated election period is a shocking breach of electoral neutrality and is unlawful.

Firefighters have every legal right to stand for election.

Hounding staff for lawful political views is unacceptable and is proof of the exact perception that anyone questioning an aggressive DEI agenda will be chased out of their job.

I have written to Chief Fire Officer Dave Russel demanding answers.

Petch and Ahmed - the network heads responsible - appear to have committed gross misconduct and should be dismissed.

GMFRS must apologize to Reform UK and the affected staff.

We have given GMFRS until Wednesday to answer 8 specific demands, including providing transcripts of what was said to our candidates and explaining why these network heads are permitted to weaponize IT systems.

I am also calling on HMICFRS (@HMICFRS) and the Electoral Commission (@ElectoralCommUK) to urgently investigate this unlawful breach.

The Bank of England DELIBERATELY FIXED the fake "public vote" to remove ALL historical figures from bank notes & replace them with nature images

Freedom of Information requests by the Telegraph reveal the decision to remove historical figures was based on a "focus group" of a mere 119 people

The Bank LIED because it previously claimed the decision was based on a "public vote".

In truth, however, even this vote was FIXED. Instead of having HISTORY v NATURE, the bank deliberately split the "history" category into 3 sections: historical events, historical figures, architecture & landmarks.

That was the only way that "nature" could win.

However, of course bank notes always combine at least two of those history categories. For example: Churchill & Parliament or Wellington & Waterloo.

The Bank's actions are indefensible and questions should be asked in the House.

This is part of the wider war on British history. It's an attempt to create a NEW BRITAIN, based on ridiculous myths that "Diversity Built Britain" and that Britain has always been multicultural.
