@ConsUltaNT_ACP@Mary_Tom11 That is because F1/F2 doctors have insight into what they do and do not know. A little bit of knowledge is dangerous I am afraid.
It is a ridiculous situation where a first year doctor would still be paid less than a PA with full pay restoration.
Despite the huge differences in knowledge base, skill, and level of responsibility.
Resident doctors are sorely underpaid + undervalued:
'She had a blood clot in her leg, which spread to her lung and killed her, but the PA she saw thought it was a strained calf and anxiety.'
Co-founder of Formby GP, Dr Heather Ryan, explains why doctors are becoming 'increasingly concerned' about the role of physician associates.
The NHS does NOT need PAs. It needs retention of properly qualified Drs & nurses.
We’ve asked this question a million times & have yet to receive a credible answer.
PAs add literally nothing to pt care & are more expensive than Drs to employ. Next add in the cost of supervision & mopping up mistakes = complete ripoff of valuable NHS funding. 🤦🏽♂️.
Merry Christmas to all those working in the NHS today
Many staff in the NHS are grossly underpaid (even on Christmas day👇) but none more so than Junior Doctors who frequently graduate with >£100k debt
RT to support them & ask government to pay them ALL fairly #PayRestoration
