The Reflecting Pool is a perfect metaphor for the Trump administration:
- Ignore experts and science
- Overspend
- Declare early, historic victory
- "THE LEFT HATE THIS"
- Ends in total failure
- Unfounded conspiracies about sabotage
- MAGA pretends it doesn't actually matter
@KyleCrabbs I think the only rational thought to Brooks/Brewer (b4 it happened) not being extended is that they are 28 years old. But they are difference makers, leaders, and play impactful positions that at the same time aren’t relatively expensive. Makes sense why Sully prioritized them
@OmarKelly There’s so many. Stafford, Lamar Jackson, Jordan Love, Trevor Lawrence, Baker Mayfield, SAM DARNOLD. Just off the top of my head of current starters
@seanbanister1 He’s a home run hitter good in space & lots of natural talent for sure. He likely gets better & the worries aren’t too big. I just personally don’t like him vs other guys in the 5th- but very reasonable take!
@seanbanister1 Brooks is insane, if he stays healthy he’s going crazy this year imo. And early reports are good
Henderson had some of the worst vision & cuts/decision making at he position last year. Benched/snaps limited because of it. I wouldn’t have touched that in the 5th personally
@seanbanister1 I think you’ll regret not taking an upside or depth running back at Godwin’s spot. Given some injury potential to that position & how top heavy you are. Henry & Brown gotta stay good, JK is solid but likely won’t be there for the late season
@stclaudeii I’d value him with a 4th.
Think he was a 2nd rounder before the gambling. But I guarantee someone like the Jets, Browns or Cardinals drops a 3rd
@BlizzyFins If I put myself in Sully’s shoes I’d probably use a 4th rounder. Think Sorsby was a higher upside 2nd before this all happened.
But someone’s going to throw a 3rd for him like the Cardinals or Jets, maybe the Browns.
