These are our Spring 2025 heifer calves. We selected them last winter to be our next generation of cows. We're keeping most of them close to the home ranch this spring, then they'll be bred by AI in July.

@HerdWorth_AI But our heifers seem to do better later on if they've been grazing instead of in the feed yard. As soon as we AI them, we'll ship them to either our mountain allotment or ranch units to spend the rest of the summer.

To prevent over grazing, we follow the same rule we use across the ranch. We want every plant bitten off once, but few bitten off twice.
