Still mentally here :”) can never repay abes for casually talking me into watching this game where he conveniently left the “sonny bill williams will be there too” part out
you should be concerned
this is a specific personality archetype in itb which you can usually detect at the first year’s TPB physics exam LOL
- there is a hint of “i can do better than sri mulyani” from the tone and mannerism as if this is a class competition but no substance on how exactly he will do that
- limited appreciation for complex adaptive system like econ or financial market. not everything can be solved as engineering problem set homework. will he have enough toolkit / intuition to process the consequence of his policies across our system? doubt
- zero media / PR sensitivity. says whatever he wants in first day but chickened out in the second day, he is shocked at media reaction but has audacity to gaslight the media who quoted him VERBATIM lol. but this is penyakit fresh grad aja which over their career, itb grads will gradually learn. him not having this at his age is a red flag, a slow learner
highly likely he will overpromise (which prabowo will take at face value) and underdeliver because of reasons above, probably will be reshuffled in <12-18 months. unlike sacking SMI, IHSG will go up at this time LOL
@efraimsthoughts And the sad thing is, even though she has her own problem, she seemed more tolerable than the rest of the ministers who are way more problematic than her because the standard is really THAT low 🙃
Sorry, but I really love the Malaysian way of cursing 😂
"Macam orang otak di kepala lutut"
"dekat padang mahsyar nanti kau belakang abu lahab"
You don't say the cursing words right away, but you still managed to create the mental damage
I’ve reached my limit in helping, but from the bottom of my heart, I hope it still eases your burden. Eat well and stay strong, my Indonesian friends 🥹 sending love from Malaysia 🇲🇾
To all my Web3 friends out there.
If you're asking what's happening in my country "Indonesia" right now, there have been public demonstrations starting from the 25th until today.
Which have led to large crowds setting fire to several regional parliament (DPRD) buildings across different areas in Indonesia
Here are the details 👇
No democratic country anywhere in the world recognises 112 as a genuine crime. They correctly know that this is an absurdly draconian law that has no place in the 21st century. So they routinely award asylum to any Thai facing jail for 112. Rightly so. 3/5
The reason why several people convicted of 112 have fled Thailand is because they faced absurd multi-decade-long sentences just for saying their opinion. Sentences for exercising freedom of speech in Thailand can be much longer than for multiple murder and violent rape 2/5
@AmaniLalaland The university’s credibility is less than zero. An honorary degree from UIPM is a badge of shame. It shows that the recipient is an idiot or a crook, or both.
Some reflections lately 🧠
The "abundance mindset" is something you hear (and feel/experience) a lot when you go to Silicon Valley.
On our recent trip to SF it was one of the top two things people "took away" from the visit.
Abundance meaning this idea that the "pie" is not limited. If someone takes a piece from it there's no problem, more can be baked.
The abundance mindset should be an Islamic mindset that we all hold.
However, from almost all my experiences Muslims generally operate with a scarcity mindset.
It's so common to see one Muslim succeed and immediately see multiple others compete to try and "steal" from that as if there's only a limited supply.
Why?
It's literally antithetical to our beliefs.
Allah is Al-Razaaq.
There are no limits on the rizq he can provide.
In fact to even suggest that there is a limit on what Allah can provide is an extremely dangerous proposition.
Yet we operate with a mindset that the pie is limited. Once one person takes a piece there's less for everyone. That (astagfurullah) Allah cannot provide us all with more.
How are non-Muslims giving us a lesson in rizq?
This is something we should be internalising and teaching the world ....
Really important to reflect and check if you're doing this without realising.
Then some serious introspection and re-evaluation of your understanding of Allah / faith to fix that mindset.
It's a complete 180 degree change in your mindset and world view that's extremely freeing once you do.
Wakil Menteri Kebudayaan baru dikuliahi ramai-ramai di Instagram karena gagal menunjukkan kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia yang baik.
Sungguh “berbudaya”.
