@adrianweckler Expensive public charging infrastructure, lack of fast chargers, reduction in grants all adding to the lack of uptake.. Add in uncertainty on resale value, taking VW for example reducing a 2024 id.4 vs 2023 id.4 by €12k had a huge impact on resale.

This is John Lyke, who has a very cool niche.

He went to film school and was a pro rollerblader & snowboarder.

This venn diagram of skills makes him an expert “blade camera operator”, a job that involves filming with a $100k camera while on roller blades.

You may have caught his footage in HBO’s fictional re-telling of the 1980s LA Lakers (“Winning Time”).

The basketball scenes are lightly co-ordinated and — to keep the action as real as possible — the players just go hard for 10-15 plays in a row and they take the best footage to edit.

End result is 💯.

@CyclingIreland Just went to renew my licence for 2023 and see 2 "fees" attached to the order: one for licence and one for club membership. Is this a new "ticketmaster" tax on members for processing? Optics of not increasing license fees don't look good so just add an new fee?
