Stop and think about what that argument actually reveals.

It's a debate about whose hostage negotiator is most reliable.

On a custodial book, a "withdrawal" means they are holding your money and you're politely asking for it back. That's why it can be slow, reversed, frozen, or denied. It was never in your possession in the first place. You handed it to a company and now you're requesting it back.

Overtime has a withdraw button too. But it doesn't mean the same thing. Overtime never holds your funds in the first place; they sit in your own wallet or your wallet-owned smart contract. Hitting "withdraw" doesn't release the money from Overtime; it just moves it from one wallet the user controls to another. It's a transfer between a user's own pockets, not a release request to a custodian.

How Overtime works:
◆ Connect your wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, whatever) directly to Overtime app, hence tapping into Overtime’s Smart Contracts on the blockchain. The user's key, the user's address, full stop. Overtime never touches it.
◆ Or connect with your personal smart contract we call Overtime Account, spun up by your connected wallet or by a social login wallet created through Particle Network (for anyone who doesn't want the seed-phrase friction). Same principle: the account answers to the user's keys, not Overtime's internal decisions. The withdraw button just lets them sweep funds out of it on demand.

No cashier, no "pending," no approval queue, no one with a button that says "hold this user's balance." There's nothing to approve because there's no gatekeeper, only the user.

So sure, ask which book has the fastest withdrawal. On Overtime, the concept of a withdrawal is something else entirely, because technically it is not a withdrawal. It's just the user's money, moving when they say so.
