@hadalzoner omg same! and i would just feel guilty if i don't look up some of the references, names, and such too. as much as i find the premise of the book interesting, it really requires an arduous amount of attention and i can't rn. hope you'll love it and worth your efforts at the end!
Genuinely one of my favorite passages in Clarice Lispector’s Too Much of Life. I love how delicious the tension between ‘come closer’ and ‘you will never have me’ mutates into some, ontological inquiry. Why must we define what might be sublime precisely because it escapes us?
