Maybe next time notable Bama alum and Heisman winner @markingramII says @AlabamaFTBL doesn’t deserve to be in the CFP, we listen 👂🏼 cuz @NDFootball lost by a grand total of 4 points in their two losses this year and Bama is getting crushed by @IndianaFootball 🙃
Notre Dame was ranked No. 9 and Alabama was ranked No. 10 in Week 14.
Notre Dame won at (4-8) Stanford 49-20, Alabama won at (5-7) Auburn 27-20.
Alabama JUMPS Notre Dame, swapping spots at 9 and 10.
Fast forward to this week, Alabama gets SMASHED by UGA, and ND doesn’t play.
Alabama stays at No. 9 and Notre Dame falls another spot to No. 11, despite the four teams behind them losing/not playing.
I don’t care if you think Notre Dame should’ve missed the playoff all along, but the committee just contradicted everything they stood for the past month.
Disgraceful decision making.
The CFP selection process is a joke.
Punish BYU for losing the conference championship game, but don’t punish Alabama and you leave out Notre Dame. The bias has never been more clear.
Notre Dame gets left out of the CFP…
The Irish won 10 straight, were ranked ahead of Miami for weeks, and their only losses were Week 1 to No. 10 Miami and Week 2 to No. 7 Texas A&M by a combined four points.
Ridiculous decision. One of the best teams in the country.
So, BYU was penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game (dropped one spot). Which allowed Miami to move up and get compared directly to Notre Dame.
But Alabama was not penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game.
So ND loses by a combined 5 points to ranked teams ALL season but Bama loses to a 5-7 team and puts up NEGATIVE yards in a game and is in?? Idgaf if it’s the conference championship or a tune-up game. This is disgusting. #JusticeForND
And don’t get me started on Miami.
