USA: “Hey FIFA, can you review that red card? We think it was really bad.”
FIFA: “Don’t worry, we already are. VAR was not used correctly and honestly should’ve cost you the game.”
USA: “Sweet. Thanks for trying go get this right.”
World: “YOUCANTDOTHATWHAT! THEBEAUTIFULGAME!”
Not only does Zlatan believe there never should have been a red card, he believes the reversal should have been made SOONER. You expect me to believe twitter losers over Ibra?? 😂😂
JUST IN: FIFA President Gianni Infantino breaks silence, says decision to lift the suspension of USA's Folarin Balogun had nothing to do with President Trump's call.
Read his statement below:
"I have seen the public comments regarding the decision of the independent Fifa Disciplinary Committee related to the suspension of Folarin Balogun, and I would like to reiterate a fundamental principle of Fifa’s governance.
Fifa’s judicial bodies are independent. They operate autonomously, apply the Fifa Disciplinary Code, and decide cases based on the applicable regulations and the specific facts before them. Their independence is essential to the credibility and integrity of football, and this must always be respected.
Yes, I regularly discuss matters related to the Fifa World Cup with the President of the United States, and on this matter, I did receive a call from President Donald Trump, just as I receive calls from heads of state, government officials, football stakeholders and business executives from around the world on many different issues.
During our conversation, I explained that there was an ongoing legal process involving Fifa’s independent judicial bodies and that the case would be decided in due course by the competent bodies. That is how Fifa’s system works, and it is a principle that I will always uphold.
I read the decisions of the Fifa Disciplinary Committee when they are issued. Sometimes I am surprised by them. Sometimes I agree with them, and sometimes I disagree.
What I always do, however, is respect those decisions and the autonomy of the bodies that make them. Whether we personally like a decision or not is irrelevant. Respect for independent institutions and the rule of law is what protects the integrity of our competitions and the credibility of Fifa at all times."
@SenRandPaul The Republican Party is worthless. Dems in charge, they stick together, they get things passed. Republicans- every time you get control, you BLOW IT. You are handing the Country over to the Enemy! Makes me think it’s on purpose.
After reading the comments on X, I’m pretty sure the young people would be happy if everyone over 60 just dropped dead. Apparently it would solve the World’s problems.
When people talk about the billionaire group that is not paying enough, why do they only mention Elon and Bezos? Why not all the sports people and entertainment people? At least Elon and Bezos are creating jobs.
Because there were no credit cards, you had to save. There were people who were wealthy, there were people who were poor, there was the middle class. I never thought for one second to blame anyone for my situation.
It makes me sad to see so many people blaming the older generations for everything. My grandparents lived during the depression , my grandfather fought in W2. They lived in a 2 bedroom, one bath house. Had used/hand me down furniture. Sure their mortgage was 64$ a month (cont)
Growing up, my mom made a lot of my clothes, we didn’t eat out much. I remember if my parents went out, I got to have a tv dinner and that was a big deal. We went on vacation to the beach, my grandparents and parents split the rental cost and we cooked almost all our meals in.
@WallStreetApes First of all Gibson’s is fantastic! You basically get a slice of cake that’s almost as big as a cake! And it’s one of the best carrot cakes you can get a restaurant. You’re gonna drop some dollars but the food is fabulous, the portions are more than one person can normally eat.
