60+ firefighters worked just after 6:30pm Monday to extinguish a storage facility fire that produced a thermal column seen for miles.
The fire west of I-5 in south Everett was upgraded to 2-alarms to bring in necessary resources. The fire burned through approximately 13 storage bays that house vehicles, but firefighters saved an adjoining shop that contained flammable chemicals. More than 12 additional storage units had heat damage. No injuries have been reported.
Firefighters will keep a close eye on the facility through the night. The Sno County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
