If you receive a message saying someone “accidentally reported your X/Twitter account for fraud/scams” and asks you to contact support, verify your account, or message a specific person, it’s a scam.
These messages are sent from hacked or compromised accounts to trick you into giving away your login details or getting your account stolen too.
Do NOT click links, do NOT contact random “support” accounts, and never share verification codes or login information. Report and block the sender instead.
