H.E. Mr. Dzenis Maroz, Minister for Energy of the Republic of Belarus, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House, this afternoon.

While welcoming the Belarusian Minister and his delegation, the Prime Minister conveyed his warm greetings and good wishes for President Alexander Lukashenko. He fondly recalled President Lukashenko’s visit to Islamabad in November 2024, as well as his own visit to Belarus in April 2025, that further strengthened bilateral ties across all spheres of shared interest.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the productive deliberations held during the 9th Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) held in Islamabad, wherein the two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation, including in trade, industry, agriculture, banking, labour, transport, and energy sectors. Both sides expressed confidence that the outcomes of the JMC would translate into tangible benefits for both countries and further consolidate the growing partnership between Pakistan and Belarus.

The visiting Minister thanked the Prime Minister for the gracious welcome, and conveyed the warm regards of the Belarusian leadership. He briefed the Prime Minister on the substantive progress made during the JMC meeting. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen bilateral coordination to materialize cooperation across all sectors agreed between the leadership of two countries.

وزیرِ اعظم محمد شہباز شریف نے آج اسلام آباد میں نوجوانوں کے عالمی دن کی مناسبت سے منعقدہ تقریب میں شرکت کی اور خطاب کیا۔تقریب میں وفاقی وزراء ،ارکان پارلیمنٹ، طلبہ وطالبات اور دیگر نے شرکت کی۔

وزیراعظم نے پہلی نیشنل یوتھ ایمپلائمنٹ پالیسی، نوجوانوں کو ہنر سیکھنے کے نئے مواقع فراہم کرنے اور انہیں مستقبل کی جاب مارکیٹ کے لیے تیار کرنے کے لیے سکل ایمب��سڈر پروگرام اور نیشنل پاور سیکٹر انوویشن پروگرام کا اجراء کر دیا ہے اور کہا ہے کہ نوجوان نسل قوم کی امید ہے،نوجوانوں کو تعلیم کے یکساں مواقع کی فراہمی کے بغیر ترقی ممکن نہیں،نوجوانوں کو ترقی کے سفر میں پیچھے نہیں رہنے دیں گے،غریب کا بچہ اعلیٰ تعلیم سے محروم کیوں رہے،دانش سکولوں کا معیار ایچی سن سے کسی طور کم نہیں ہے،اسلام آباد میں دانش یونیورسٹی میں کلاسوں کا آغاز آئندہ سال ہو جائے گا، 7 لاکھ لیپ ٹاپ میرٹ پر نوجوانوں میں تقسیم کئے ہیں، رواں سال مزید دو لاکھ پچاس ہزار نوجوانوں کو کروم بکس دیں گے،رواں سال ایک ہزار طلبہ و طالبات کو آئی ٹی اور اے آئی کی تعلیم کے لیے چ��ن بھجوایا جائے گا۔

تقریب سے وفاقی وزیر پاور ڈویژن سردار اویس لغاری اور وزیراعظم یوتھ پروگرام کے چیئرمین رانا مشہود احمد خاں نے بھی خطاب کیا۔تقریب میں 2047ء کے پاکستان کے وژن کے حوالے سے ایک ویڈیو بھی دکھائی گئی،وزارت اطلاعات ونشریات کی طرف سے نوجوانوں کے لیے تیار کردہ خصوصی ملی نغمہ پیش کیا گیا۔وزیراعظم نے نیشنل ایمپلائمنٹ پالیسی کی کور ٹاسک فورس کے ارکان میں اسناد اور دانش سکول کے پوزیشن ہولڈرز اور مختلف شعبوں میں نمایاں خدمات انجام دینے والے نوجوانوں کو ایوارڈز دیئے۔وزیراعظم نے دانش سکول فاضل پور میں زیر تعلیم ہونہار طالب علم محمد قاسم کی بورڈ آف انٹرمیڈیٹ اینڈ سیکنڈری ایجوکیشن لاہور کے تحت ایس ایس سی پارٹ ٹو کے امتحان میں سائنس گروپ میں پہلی جبکہ مجموعی طور پر دوسری پوزیشن حاصل کرنے پر حوصلہ افزائی کی اور اسے شاباش دی۔

Pakistan joins the international community in observing International Youth Day and pays tribute to our talented youth for their immense potential, vibrant energy, and positive aspirations.

This year, International Youth Day is being observed under the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.” The theme duly underscores the fact that although the lives of young people across the world are shaped by diverse circumstances, their dreams, aspirations, and hopes for a brighter future remain remarkably similar.

Our youth are an invaluable National asset and are the promising driving force for our bright future. The creativity and determined efforts of our young people are undoubtedly contributing to encouraging progress across every sector of society. Harnessing the potential and capabilities of our youth is essential for building a prosperous, peaceful, and strong Pakistan. Pakistan’s young population has brought laurels to the country at both the national and international levels through their achievements across various fields of life. At the local level too, our youth are playing a constructive role as active members of society.

Ensuring the best possible intellectual, physical, mental, and academic development of our youth through the effective utilization of all available national resources remains among the Government’s key priorities. The Government of Pakistan is committed to empowering our youth through modern and quality education aligned with the demands of the day, through dedicated efforts to promote technical and vocational skills, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, industrial development, digital innovation, and social inclusion.

Alongside various policy initiatives, the Government is also taking practical measures enabling young people to align their abilities, skills, and professional competencies with international standards so to make the country proud on the global stage.

To provide talented students with opportunities to advance in education, information technology, technical fields, and artificial intelligence, the Government has taken several important initiatives, including scholarship programmes, laptop distribution, and paid internships for students.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme (PMYSDP) is striving to ensure a talented and skilled workforce in the country. The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has been further strengthened on a priority basis to provide internationally recognized certifications and world-class training in professional and technical skills.The national institution is taking special measures to equip the workforce with internationally recognized qualifications and the skills required by industries.

On this day, I have a special message for our youth: continue your journey of hard work with honesty, responsibility, and a spirit of service to the nation. The sustainable development and bright future of our country are intrinsically linked to the progress of our youth. Let us renew our resolve to work together with full commitment and play a constructive and active role in the development and prosperity of our country, so that our homeland becomes a guarantee of a bright future for all segments of society especially our youth.

وزیرِ اعظم محمد شہباز شریف نے آج وزیر اعظم آفس میں مذہبی اقلیتوں کے قومی دن کی مناسبت سے منعقدہ تقریب میں بطور مہمان خصوصی شرکت کی اور خطاب کیا۔ تقریب میں وفاقی وزراء، ارکان اسمبلی اور ملک بھر سے مختلف اقلیتی برادریوں سے تعلق رکھنے والی نمایاں شخصیات شریک تھیں۔

وزیر اعظم نے قیام پاکستان سے تعمیر پاکستان تک زندگی کے ہر شعبے میں مسلمانوں کے شانہ بشانہ اقلیتوں کے کردار کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ پاکستان میں بسنے والے تمام شہریوں نے بلا تفریق مذہب مل کر قدم سے قدم ملا کر ملک کو تعمیر و ترقی سے ہمکنار کرنا ہے، قائد اعظم محمد علی جناح کے فرمان کے مطابق آئین پاکستان میں تمام پاکستانیوں کو مساوی حقوق حاصل ہیں ۔

وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ 11 اگست کو پاکستان میں بسنے والی اقلیتوں کے قومی دن کے طور پر منایا جاتا ہے ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ مسیحی، ہندو، ��کھ اور پارسی کمیونٹی سمیت تمام ��قلیتوں سے تعلق رکھنے والے بھائیوں اور بہنوں کا ہمارے دل میں بہت احترام ہے، اقلیتوں نے تحریک پاکستان میں قائداعظم کا ساتھ دے کر تعمیری کردار ادا کیا جو تاریخ کا حصہ ہے ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ قائداعظم کے 11 اگست کے خطاب کی روشنی میں اقلیتوں کو آئین پاکستان میں مساوی حقوق حاصل ہیں۔

وزیراعظم نے کہاکہ اقلیتی برادریوں نے پاکستان کی تعمیر و ترقی کے لئے اپنا بھرپور کردار ادا کیا، تعلیم کے میدان میں کرسچن کمیونٹی کی خدمات کی ستائش نہ کرنا ناانصافی ہوگی۔ اس سلسلے میں وزیراعظم نے اپنی اور اپنے بہن بھائیوں کی مسیحی سکولوں میں ابتدائی تعلیم کا بھی ذکر کیا اور یاد دلایا کہ تعلیمی شعبے میں ان کی نمایاں خدمات ہیں۔ وزیر اعظم نے سیسل چوہدری، جسٹس اے آر کارنیلئیس، جوگندر ناتھ منڈل، ایس ایل گبز اور ایس پی سنگھا سمیت مختلف اقلیتی برادریوں سے تعلق رکھنے والی نمایاں قومی شخصیات کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ان کی خدمات سے کون واقف نہیں ۔

وزیرِ اعظم نے کہا کہ اقلیتوں نے جنگوں اور قومی تعمیر کے ہر میدان میں بے بہا خدمات سر انجام دیں ، ملکی دفاع کے لئے بھی ان کی قربانیاں ناقابل فراموش اور دہشت گردی کے خلاف جنگ میں انہوں نے بھی اپنی ��انوں کے نذرانے پیش کیے ہیں۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ ہم سب نے پاکستان کی ترقی و خوشحالی کے لئے مل کر کام کرنا ہے، نوجوانوں کو جدید علوم سے آراستہ کرکے پاکستان کو دنیا میں نمایاں کرنا ہے۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ قیام پاکستان سے تعمیر پاکستان تک ہر شعبے میں اقلیتی برادری کا کردار قابل ستائش ہے اور ہم سب نے مل کر ملک کو تعمیر و ترقی و خوشحالی سے ہم کنار کرنا ہے ۔

وزیراعظم نے مزید کہا کہ قیام پاکستان کے مقاصد کو ذہن میں رکھتے ہوئے آگے بڑھنا اور پاکستان کو اقوام عالم میں اس کا مقام دلوانا ہے ۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ سعودی عرب، پاکستان، ترکیہ کے مابین مکہ دفاعی معاہدہ کسی ملک کے خلاف نہیں، یہ امن، ترقی اور خوشحالی کو فروغ دینے کیلئے ہے۔ انہوں نے خطے میں امن، استحکام اور ترقی کیلئے پاکستان کے عزم کا بھی اعادہ کیا ۔

تقریب میں وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف نے ملک کے لئے نمایاں خدمات سر انجام دینے والی اقلیتی برادری کی شخصیات کو ایوارڈز اور اعزازات سے بھی نوازا۔ قبل ازیں وفاقی وزیر مذہبی امور سردار محمد یوسف نے تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان میں اقلیتوں کو مکمل تحفظ حاصل ہے، حکومت اقلیتوں کی فلاح و بہبود کے لئے ضروری اقدامات کر رہی ہے ، ملک کے لئے نمایاں خدمات انجام دینے والے اقلیتی برادری کے افراد کو ایوارڈز دیئے جا رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ آئین پاکستان اقلیتوں کے حقوق کی مکمل ضمانت فراہم کرتا ہے، قائد کے وژن کے مطابق اقلیتوں کے حقوق حکومت کی اولین ترجیح ہے، ان کی عبادت گاہوں کو فول پروف سکیورٹی فراہم کی گئی ہے، انہیں تعلیمی وظائف دیئے جا رہے ہیں، مالی معاونت کی جا رہی ہے، دس مذہبی تہواروں کو سرکاری سطح پر منانے کا اہتمام کیا گیا ہے۔

وزیر مملکت برائے مذہبی بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کھیئل داس کوہستانی نے تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پورے ملک میں اقلیتوں کا دن منایا جا رہا ہے، اقلیتوں کے دن پر وزیراعظم کی شرکت ہمارے لئے باعث افتخار ہے، ہم فخر سے کہتے ہیں کہ پاکستان سب کا پاکستا�� ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سکھ میرج ایکٹ، ہندو میرج ایکٹ اقلیتوں کے لئے انتہائی اہم پیش رفت ہے، مسیحی میرج ایکٹ پر بھی کام ہو رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان میں اقلیتوں کو مکمل مذہبی آزادی اور تحفظ حاصل ہے ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان کی مسلح افواج نے بھارت کے تکبر کو وزیراعظم اور فیلڈ مارشل کی قیادت میں خاک میں ملا دیا، پاکستان نے دنیا بھر میں مذہبی ہم آہنگی کے لئے کردار ادا کیا ہے۔

وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف کی زیر صدارت فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو کے امور پر جائزہ اجلاس آج اسلام آباد میں منعقد ہوا.

وزیراعظم نے ملک بھر کے کسٹمز بانڈڈ ویئر ہاؤسز کا تین ��ال کا آزادانہ تھرڈ پارٹی آڈٹ کروانے کی ہدایت کی. اجلاس سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے وزیرِ اعظم نے کہا کہ کسٹمز بانڈڈ وئیر ہاؤسز میں کسی بھی بے ضابطگی کی گنجائش نہیں. وزیرِ اعظم نے کسی بھی بے ضابطگی اور غیر قانونی سرگرمی میں ملوث اہلکاروں کے خلاف قانون کے مطابق سخت کاروائی کرنے کی بھی ہدایت کی.

اجلاس کو کسٹم بانڈڈ وئیر ہاؤسز اور ان لینڈ ریونیو انفورسمنٹ کے حوالے سے بریفنگ دی گئی. اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ کسٹمز وئیر ہاؤسز میں پیٹرولیم مصنوعات سے متعلق کارگو کی نگرانی وی-باک(We-BOC) سسٹم سے منسلک ہے. بانڈڈ تجارت ملک کی کل درآمدات کا 16.5 فیصد ہے. وزیراعظم کی ہدایت پر ملک بھر کے کسٹم بانڈڈ وئیر ہاؤسز کی فزیکل اسٹاک ویریفیکشن کروائی جائے گی. کسٹمز بانڈڈ وئیر ہاؤسز کی لائسنسنگ اور سیکیورٹی کو یقینی بنانے کے لئے اقدامات کئے جارہے ہیں. کسٹمز بانڈڈ وئیر ہاؤسز کی ویلیوایشن ٹیسٹنگ کروائی جائے گی اور انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی سسٹمز کا جائزہ لیا جائے گا. کسٹمز بانڈڈ وئیر ہاؤسز میں بے ضابطگیوں کو ختم کرنے کے حوالے ضروری اقدامات کئے جارہے ہیں.

اجلاس میں وفاقی وزیر قانون و انصاف اعظم ن��یر تارڑ، وفاقی وزیر اقتصادی امور احد خان چیمہ، وفاقی وزیر موسمیاتی تبدیلی مصدق ملک، وفاقی وزیر خزانہ و محصولات محمد اورنگزیب، وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات و نشریات عطاء اللہ تارڑ، وزیر پیٹرولیم ڈویژن علی پرویز ملک، وفاقی وزیر انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی و ٹیلی کام شزا فاطمہ, مشیر وزیر اعظم ہارون اختر، رکن قومی اسمبلی عثمان اویسی، گورنر اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان جمیل احمد اور متعلقہ اعلیٰ سرکاری افسران نے شرکت کی۔

Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives and widespread devastation caused by the powerful earthquake in Colombia. On behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt condolences to President Abelardo De La Espriella, the people of Colombia, and all the families who have lost their loved ones.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and all those affected by this tragedy. Pakistan stands in solidarity with the people of Colombia in this difficult hour.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's Message on National Minorities Day 11 August 2026.

Pakistan commemorates National Minorities Day every year with a firm resolve to acknowledge the invaluable presence of minorities, their inclusion in the national mainstream, and their significant contributions to the national progress and prosperity.

The minorities living in Pakistan are an integral part of our national fabric and reflect the true beauty of our diverse social and cultural landscape.

On 11 August 1947, while addressing the historic inaugural session of the Constituent Assembly, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah unequivocally affirmed the rights of minorities in Pakistan:
“You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in the State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed—that has nothing to do with the business of the State.”

These historic words of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah hold an enduring and unforgettable place in Pakistan’s social order, system of governance and religious ethos.

This day also serves as a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to unity among different segments and communities of society, peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and equal opportunities for progress for all. Pakistan is a diverse society where people belonging to different faiths, cultures, nationalities and traditions live together in harmony.

From the Pakistan Movement and the creation of Pakistan to the present day, minority communities have played a pivotal role in the country’s progress and national development. They have rendered invaluable services in the economic, educational, social, cultural and political spheres.

The Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan guarantees the protection of the rights and interests of minority communities. These constitutional safeguards are further reinforced by an effective legal framework. The country’s laws contain effective provisions for the protection of places of worship of minorities, prohibition of discriminatory practices, and prevention of hate speech.

The enactment of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 2025 to safeguard the rights of minorities is undoubtedly a significant national milestone. Under the aboce stated Act, the Ministry of Human Rights is taking the necessary steps for the establishment of an independent commission. The Commission will play its role in redressing grievances, overseeing constitutional and legal safeguards, making recommendations regarding government policies and legislation, monitoring matters relating to places of worship and employment quotas, and promoting equality and inclusion.

To promote interfaith harmony and social cohesion, the Interfaith Harmony Policy 2025 has been introduced, aimed at protecting religious freedom, promoting interfaith dialogue, and ensuring equal opportunities without discrimination. The Government is also implementing the National Policy for Countering Violent Extremism 2024.
The Ministry of Human Rights, in consultation with all relevant stakeholders, has also introduced the National Action Plan for Human Rights 2026, which includes specific measures for the protection and promotion of the rights of minority communities.

The Government of Pakistan, in collaboration with the provincial governments, relevant institutions and civil society, reaffirms its collective resolve to continue making every possible effort to protect the rights of every citizen, particularly those belonging to minority communities, ensure equal opportunities, and advance towards the goal of a peaceful, tolerant and united society.

وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف کی زیر صدارت وفاقی کابینہ کا اجلاس آج اسلام آباد میں منعقد ہوا۔

اجلاس کے آغاز میں کابینہ نے متفقہ طور پر ایک قرارداد منظور کی جس میں وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف، نائب وزیراعظم و وزیر خارجہ محمد اسحاق ڈار اور چیف آف آرمی اسٹاف و چیف آف ڈیفنس فورسز فیلڈ مارشل سید عاصم منیر کو ان کی مدبرانہ اور دور اندیش قیادت، پاکستان کا عالمی تشخص بلند کرنے اور ملک کے قومی مفادات کے مؤثر دفاع پر خراج تحسین پیش کیا گیا۔ کابینہ ارکان نے پاکستان، سعودی عرب اور ترکیہ کے درمیان تاریخی مشترکہ دفاعی معاہدے پر دستخط کو بھی اہم سفارتی و دفاعی پیش رفت قرار دیا۔ قرارداد نے اس معاہدے کو امت مسلمہ کے مابین اتحاد و اتفاق کو مزید تقویت دینے کے لیے ایک اہم قدم قرار دیا۔

کابینہ نے نیشنل ہاؤسنگ پالیسی 2026ء اور اس پر عملدرآمد کےلئے ایکشن پلان کی منظوری دے دی۔ کابینہ کو بتایا گیا کہ نیشنل ہاؤسنگ پالیسی قومی و بین الاقوامی ماہرین پر مشتمل ورکنگ گروپ نے تیار کی، جبکہ اس کی تیاری کے دوران وفاقی وزارتوں، صوبائی حکومتوں اور ترقیاتی شراکت داروں سے بھی مشاورت کی گئی۔

کابینہ کو بتایا گیا کہ پالیسی کا بنیادی مقصد تمام شہریوں کے لیے پائیدار، محفوظ اور معیاری رہائش کی فراہمی ہے۔ کابینہ نے ہدایت کی کہ ہاؤسنگ منصوبوں میں زوننگ قوانین کی مکمل پابندی یقینی بنائی جائے اور زمین کے مؤثر استعمال کے لیے عمودی رہائش (Vertical Housing) کو ت��جیح دی جائے۔ ساتھ ہی کابینہ نے ہدایت کی کہ انرجی ایفیشنسی کوڈز کو بھی نیشنل ہاؤسنگ پالیسی کا لازمی حصہ بنایا جائے تاکہ نئی تعمیرات توانائی کے مؤثر اور ماحول دوست تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ ہوں۔
کابینہ کو وزیراعظم کے ’اپنا گھر‘ اسکیم کے تحت پیش رفت پر بھی بریفنگ دی گئی۔ کابینہ کو بتایا گیا کہ اپنے گھر کے خواہشمند درخواست گزاروں کو مختلف بینکوں کی جانب سے 220 ارب روپے کے قرضوں کی منظوری دی جا چکی ہے، جبکہ کامیاب درخواست گزاروں کو 32 ارب روپے سے زائد کی رقوم بھی جاری کی جا چکی ہیں۔

کابینہ نے بورڈ آف انویسٹمنٹ کی جانب سے پیش کی گئی سمری پر پاکستان اور سویڈن کے درمیان 1981ء میں ط�� پانے والے دو طرفہ سرمایہ کاری کے معاہدے کے خاتمے کا نوٹس واپس لینے کی منظوری دے دی۔

وزارت انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کی جانب سے کابینہ کو پاکستان انفارمیشن سکیورٹی فریم ورک 2026ء (PISF 2026) کا مسودہ پیش کیا گیا۔ کابینہ کو بتایا گیا کہ یہ فریم ورک CERT Rules 2023ء کے تحت تیار کیا گیا ہے، جس کا مقصد انفارمیشن سکیورٹی کے بنیادی یکساں معیارات کا ایک جامع اور متحد نظام وضع کرنا اور مرکزی نگرانی کو یقینی بنانا ہے۔ کابینہ نے پاکستان انفارمیشن سکیورٹی فریم ورک 2026ء کی منظوری دیتے ہوئے اسے سائبر سکیورٹی کے لیے ایک اہم راہنما دستاویز قرار دیا اور ہدایت کی کہ اس پر مقررہ مدت کے اندر مؤثر انداز میں عملدرآمد یقینی بنایا جائے۔

وفاقی کابینہ نے 28 جولائی کو منعقدہ کابینہ کمیٹی برائے توانائی (CCoE) کے اجلاس میں لئے گئے فیصلے کی بھی توثیق کی۔ اس فیصلے کے تحت پاکستان آئل ریفایننگ پالیسی 2023 میں مجوزہ ترامیم کی توثیق کی گئی جن کے مطابق آئل ریفائنریز کی اپگریڈیشن کی جائے گی تاکہ ملکی توانائی کی ضروریات کو بہتر انداز میں پورا کیا جا سکے۔

کابینہ نے 27 جولائی اور 4 اگست کو منعقدہ اقتصادی رابطہ کمیٹی (ECC) کے اجلاسوں میں لئے گئے فیصلوں کی توثیق کی۔

اجلاس میں کابینہ کمیٹی برائے قانون سازی (CCLC) کے 24 جولائی کو منعقدہ اجلاس میں لیے گئے فیصلوں کی بھی توثیق کی گئی.
