لاہور سے اسلام آباد کا فاصلہ مستقبل میں 100 کلومیٹر کم ہونے جا رہا ہے۔
لاہور سے سمبڑیال موٹروے پر ٹریفک رواں دواں ہے جبکہ سمبڑیال سے کھاریاں موٹروے پر تعمیراتی کام تیزی سے جاری ہے اور وزارت مواصلات کے مطابق کھاریاں سے راولپنڈی موٹروے پر بھی اسی سال کام شروع ہونے جا رہا ہے۔

اس نئے مشرقی کوریڈور سے سفر تیز، مختصر بن جائے گا اور فاصلہ تقریباً 100 کلومیٹر تک کم ہو جائے گا جبکہ لاہور سے اسلام آباد موٹروے اور جی ٹی روڈ پر ٹریفک کا دباؤ بھی نمایاں طور پر کم ہوگا۔

Flight tracking data and open source intelligence confirm a Pakistan Air Force IL-78MP tanker aircraft circling over the eastern Gulf near Bahrain, no call sign, actively supporting fighter jets. Separately, PAF fighter jets have been spotted over Bandar Abbas, Iran, providing escort to the Iranian delegation's aircraft. An AWACS platform has been deployed to establish what defence analysts are calling a "protective shield" across the flight path, designed to prevent any Israeli interdiction of the Iranian delegation en route to the talks.

This is a nuclear-armed state deploying its air force as a diplomatic guarantee in the middle of a live war.

HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi received Friday a phone call from HE Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Caretaker Government of Afghanistan Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.

During the call, they discussed ways to de-escalate tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, in a move that supports security and stability in the region.

HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at resolving disputes through peaceful means and strengthening the foundations of peace and stability at both regional and international levels.

Last year, SEN Radio sacked senior journalist Peter Lalor over tweets that expressed solidarity with Palestinians.

Usman Khawaja, in response, refused to do an interview with SEN in solidarity with Lalor.

As Khawaja announces his retirement from cricket, he leaves behind a legacy that goes far beyond his numbers.

Khawaja was a bloody good cricketer. He won't be ranked among the greats of all time.

But he's been a much better role model than most of our cricketing gods could ever be.

In his retirement press conference, he speaks about the importance of speaking out on issues outside of cricket.

He reiterated his support for Palestine, and called out politicians for sowing hate and Islamophobia.

Sadly, we don't make cricketers like that anymore.

You'll be missed Uzzie. At a time most cricketers prefer to stay quiet, worry about endorsements and shy away from controversies, you walked the talk.

At a time most of our cricketers towed the line of the government, you spoke up even if it meant it made you unpopular in some sections.

On field, you were brilliant. Off the field, you were even better. Happy retirement, Usman Khawaja, you'll be missed ❤️
