Cuba today proposed an additional debate in the UN assembly on the necessity of ending the U.S. blockade on Cuba.
9 members voted to block the debate from taking place: Argentina, Costa Rica, Czechia, Israel, Morocco, North Macedonia, Paraguay, Ukraine and United States
🇧🇫🇫🇷Burkina Faso formally end all diplomatic relations with France:
In a news that is likely to send shockwave across the imperialist world, Burkina Faso announced it is ending diplomatic relations with France, following the EU resolution that was spareheaded by Paris.
The consequences of this decision is that the French embassy in Burkina Faso will will forced to close .
The US has seized $5.49 billion of Venezuela’s oil revenue in 2026, then offers just $150 million in earthquake aid while the UN estimates $6.7 billion in losses. It’s not relief, it’s extortion. At the same time, US has $30 billion of frozen assets while people are under rubble.
These ties didn’t disappear. From historic friendships in Southern Africa to Burkina Faso's renewed cooperation with the DPRK’s security sector. This legacy will continue. U.S. sanctions and western isolation won’t stop the connection nor will it stop niggas from loving Korea!
DPRK connection with Pan-African struggles is often glossed over due to the false notion the DPRK is seemingly in isolation.
However. the DPRK's historical connection to Pan-African struggles is far deeper than Dennis Rodman and Kim Jong Un.
The DPRK did not only watch African liberation from afar. It trained, armed, housed, educated. and built alongside movements fighting colonialism. apartheid, and imperialism
Cuba's Diaz-Canel: "They invented the Cartel de los Soles to go after Venezuela. They kidnapped Maduro -- two days later the cartel vanished. They said Iraq had WMDs -- never appeared. They attacked Iran over nukes -- no nuclear action ever happened. All their lies unravel."
Every year, imperial propagandists ritualistically invoke this or that version of the 1989 events at Tiananmen Square to portray China as a murderous dictatorship. And every year, scores of people seek to rebut the claims by appeals to video footage and other evidence of what happened.
But I think we can be more forceful: Unlike in the Soviet Union, the Western-backed counterrevolution failed in China. Looking at the historic mortality crisis caused by capitalist restoration in Eastern Europe, this fact alone likely saved tens of millions of lives — and prevented imperialism from extinguishing the flame of socialism altogether.
From that perspective, the events of 1989 represent a major victory for socialism and the global working class. This, no doubt, is the primary source of the imperialists’ lingering outrage.
We salute the brave comrades inside #DelaneyHall who are continuing their hunger & work strike for the 9th day. We also salute the community members who are showing up daily in unbreakable solidarity in the face of state violence. We see the collaboration between federal & state agents as no surprise. We reject the false narratives they are putting out, while strikers inside are reporting escalating retaliation, intimidation & punitive transfers by @ICEgov.
We urge people to find a way to come out to Newark in support of the strikers. It is our duty to fight back against this violent repression & cruelty of the state.
Shut down Delaney Hall! Abolish ICE! Free them all!

SuRF's work is guided by the clear principle of amplifying and materially supporting the demands of grassroots revolutionaries on the ground. And we commit to grounding our struggle in the lived realities of our people, wherever they are. (1/8)
We’ve all seen the unhinged nature of the NYPD on a day to day basis. Many of us might have even experienced it. And yet, they only want to fortify their presence amongst us. New York, join us TUESDAY, AUGUST 5TH, in BROWNSVILLE. We say NO MORE!
Today, @PAL_Awda & our comrades escalated at the Egyptian Mission by locking ourselves to its doors, blockading the entrance. We were inspired by the actions at Egyptian embassies that have taken place over the past week. The Sisi regime MUST put an end to their internal campaign of repression & terror, they MUST restore the Arab Boycott, they MUST cancel all arms deals with the US, they MUST cut all ties with the Zionist terror state, first & foremost they MUST OPEN THE RAFAH CROSSING & LIFT THE SIEGE & BLOCKADE ON GAZA.
