This is an intentional conflation of function and office.

Part of the office of overseer is to teach and preach, in fact it is the designated office of preaching and teaching. This means that once the orher prescribed requirements for the office are met, the man in that office must perform that function. It does not mean that everyone who undertakes that function bypasses the requirements for the office and takes it.

One of the functions of the office of "Mother" is to change the diapers of her child. This does not mean that when dad changes a diaper he is now a mother.

@PaleoconJohn2 1 Tim 3:2 says “husband of one wife”, a requirement of fidelity, not a command that every pastor be married. Paul was unmarried (1 Cor 7:7–8), as was Christ. Scripture clearly permits celibacy. So no, the verse doesn’t require married priests.

Another passage that doesn’t teach a sinless Mary:

“And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, ‘He is out of his mind.’” Mark 3:21

And then:
“And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him.” Mark 3:31

Jesus’s own family tried to pull Him away from His ministry because they thought He had lost His mind. John 7:5 even says His brothers did not believe in Him.
Scripture never separates Mary from that group in Mark.

Mary needed a Savior (Luke 1:47). She was not an exception to “all have sinned.” Only Jesus was without sin.
