A deep conversation with me and you’ll realize real quick I’m not like everybody else. My mind goes places small talk can’t reach. I question everything, I feel deeper than I show, and I notice things most people overlook. I can laugh and joke with anybody, but very few people will ever truly know me. There are layers to me you’ll never discover from the outside. You have to sit with me, listen, and actually pay attention.
I’m a lover girl. I love being adored. I love forehead kisses. I love random “thinking of you” texts. I love flowers for no reason. I love getting dressed up for date nights. I love late-night conversations. I love falling asleep on someone’s chest. I love holding hands in public. I love little inside jokes. I love thoughtful gifts. I love being remembered in the smallest ways. I love making someone feel special. I love being loved loudly and softly. I love love.
Not only do I love a man that I can call for everything, I love when a man wants to be called for everything. Never annoyed always ready to solve a problem
I cannot date two people at the same time. I don't have the energy to do it.
Sometimes I wonder how people do it. Like, genuinely, how? How do you split your attention, your time, your emotional energy, your presence between two people and still call it connection?
I cannot even do two talking stages at the same time. If I am in a talking stage, it is only you. I try to put all my efforts into you. I want to know you. I want to show up for you. I want to be present with you. I cannot split my focus and still give you the depth you deserve.
It is draining. It is confusing. It is not real connection. It is just multitasking with people's hearts. And that is not something I am built for. Some people can do it. I am not one of them. And I am okay with that.
I would rather pour all my energy into one person than give pieces of myself to multiple people and call it dating.
On my birthday this year, while we were still lying in bed, my partner pulled out a list of everything I’d accomplished since my last birthday and read every single thing to me.
I don’t think I’ll ever recover from how loved that made me feel.
If you want to do multiple things and you don’t know how to go about it or you’re looking to pivot from your current career, you should watch Elaine Welteroth’s class on Masterclass.
i don't think people really understand that there is no coming back from certain things. Some damage does not get undone, and once it changes how you see someone, that's it. Not everything deserves a second chance, no matter how sorry they are.
