I’ve met so many PAs and NPs here who also work in Urgent cares. If your reason isn’t severe, you’re probably being seen by them here in the ER but you’re just paying and waiting more

I really think people should put more trust into healthcare workers when it comes to visiting the Emergency Room. Like ya’ll don’t understand how many variables go into how long it takes for a patient to be triaged, seen by a provider and treated, then discharged or admitted.

That also brings in another point, that if you think an urgent care can handle it or your PCP because it isn’t really an emergency then that saves all of us time and you money tbh
