Y is it easier for society to accept a 35+yr divorcee than a 35+yr single female as normal?

Is it because of newfound acceptance of divorce as a normal phenomenon or old age patriarchal thought that women cant be independent and single after a particular age?

But i hv encountered the numerous questions(verbal/non verbal)if one isnt married at a particular age
With a divorcee,they tend to atleast not ask many questions(somewhere probably they already assume it was the girls fault)
