Since 2021, Medicare has been testing a pilot project (aka Medicare Carve-In) allowing some #hospice care to be administered by private insurance companies. Some of the goals are more flexible cost control and expanded acess.

The auditory systems of the dying persons just hours from end of life were responding similarly to those of young, healthy persons.
