i told my therapist quietly,
“i’m not suicidal… but i’m scared of how empty i’ve been feeling lately.”
and she didn’t panic.
she didn’t tell me to “cheer up.”
she didn’t minimize it.
she just took a breath and said,
“that kind of emptiness usually means you’ve been carrying more than a person should have to carry alone.”
and in that moment… something in me finally loosened, like i wasn’t fighting the weight by myself anymore
Don’t agree with what #FarrhanaBhatt says or does, but I feel everything she’s gone through has shaped her into this person. She isn’t heartless, she just stops herself from opening up or showing vulnerability. The way she turned away when Amaal came while she was teary-eyed and talking to Tanya said it all. Some people would rather appear rude or mean than let the world see their softer side, because they know how the world treats good people. Just my POV and observation of her. #BiggBoss19
@DubePGeorgina@Rob4Ajax@AirCanada Stranded passengers risk losing even more money if we don’t wait for @AirCanada to cancel our flight. They’re waiting til the last minute which ruins any chance of a reasonable replacement flight. Everything is full!!
@AirCanada Think about it, If @AirCanada is willing to put their CUSTOMERS through this....
Imagine what they do to their EMPLOYEES on a daily basis.
There is a reason their flight attendants are fighting back after 10 years of this.
@AirCanada Either cancel all the flights and actually announce it, or give people refunds in cash so they can rebook properly. Why is it that airlines get this wrong every time
Latest: Instead of our direct flight today from our current destination to Montreal (2.5 hours), @AirCanada offered to fly us out on Tuesday (3 days late) to Newark then DC then 10 hours of a layover and then Montreal. So we would have to pay three extra nights at a hotel and it would take us roughly 20 hours for a 2.5 hours flight. There needs to be repercussions for such unimaginable behavior. How is this permitted? How could a company get away with this?
Pausing my X detox (nearly a month and it was much needed) to remind everyone that @AirCanada had no issues settling with its pilots but wants to stick it to the lower-paid, largely female-dominated (70%) flight crew. Also posting this to remind everyone that this is a choice👇
Solidarity with Air Canada flight attendants — armed with a 99.7% strike mandate. End poverty wages. The airline failed to raise wages to match industry standards, inflation, or even the federal minimum. Since 2000, entry wages increased by $3 per hour while inflation climbed 69%
“CUPE rejects terms that require their members to engage in unpaid work. As a result, @AirCanada is leaving 25,000 passengers stranded abroad”
Fixed it for you.
@AirCanada You locked them out. This is on you. Passengers are not going to side with you. You don't treat passengers well. And now we see you don't treat your employees well either.
@MadelnCanada Zero sympathy for @AirCanada. They made people pay for overhead space, offer zero amenities on all domestic flights, always delayed, made a billion dollar in profits last year. I don’t like unions but stand 100% with #CUPE on this one. Let air Canada suffer a little bit
@888Banker888@PattyHajdu “Life is hard enough” — especially when you’re working 30 hours a month for free, so someone else’s CEO multi million dollar bonus gets fatter. #AirCanada had 8 months to prevent this. They walked away. They chose to ruin plans of their customers. Handouts aren’t the answer.
So @AirCanada wiped Israel off the map.
A passenger took this pic on a Vancouver to Toronto flight today.
🔴AC is a highly government-subsidized airline that's been bailed out of bankruptcy with our tax dollars — while denying customers' rights. They are also morally bankrupt.
@GadSaad@AirCanada I recommend you never fly @AirCanada again. I suggest an actual boycott and tell all your friends. I don't even fly on planes and my tax dollars still go to support this crappy airline.
@PattyHajdu Eliminate the monopoly that @AirCanada has in this country. They’re a substandard airline that treats customers poorly - given the number of government bailouts they’ve been given, they should held to a much higher set of standards.
Boycott AIRCANADA, this #aircanadastrike is not doing any good to anyone. @AirCanada, there should've been a better way this could have been handled and not having customers hanging, especially the elderly that just want to get home. So frustrating!!! #boycottaircanada
