@TheRock I thoroughly enjoyed "Red One" in an unexpected truly private screening with just me alone in an AMC Theater at a preview opening Thu, Nov 14th, 2024.

The movie has a powerful message that "Every choice is an opportunity to do good." "Red One" is a classic example of how we all believe the world should be - caring about one another and trying to do the right thing.

The movie critics are missing the messaging and instead focusing on the technical execution - which I personally thought was reasonably well done. It is a feel good holiday movie that succeeds in being positive and uplifting. Most importantly, delivering a message of hope that being and doing good wins. #RedOneMovie

Today on Shelly Palmer LIVE (12:15 p.m. ET on YouTube Live), I'm going to demonstrate PrivateGPT: a large language model running locally on my personal computer with no internet access required. It is trained on my private data, which is secure (because it is running locally). This is the beginning of a unregulatable world of generative AI models and use cases. Choose your metaphor: "you can't put the genie back in the bottle," "you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube," "you can't unscramble an egg," or ("not to put too fine a point on it") "stick a fork in it; it's done."

Clichés aside, this is really significant. It's been about 25 weeks since AI chatbots have become available to the general public. Now, it's time to truly question how Big Tech (and governments) will respond to the democratization of LLMs.

On today's livestream (12:15 p.m. ET on YouTube Live), I'm going to talk about how to keep your data safe when your workforce starts including proprietary data in their ChatGPT prompts. The need for this "fix" will only be temporary, as Microsoft is planning to offer dedicated, private ChatGPT servers as early as next month. A private installation of ChatGPT (in the Azure cloud, of course) would allow a business to keep its proprietary data separate and safe. When it launches, this will be "the" product of the year.

Microsoft won't be alone here; OpenAI has already said it's working on its own version. The AI cloud wars will make the previous cloud compute and cloud storage wars seem quaint. I'm going to assume the path of least resistance for IT departments: AWS peeps will stay with AWS, MS peeps will stay with MS, etc., but time will tell.

I'm also going to dive deeper into voice cloning and generative AI music production, talk about Senator Markey's proposed "Block Nuclear Launch by Autonomous Artificial Intelligence Act" legislation, and explore the concept of "default to distrust." We'll also take a tour of our new, free AI resource page.
