🚨 How to activate SBI Gift card (from SBI Rewardz)

Many questions around how to activate this card.

While it shows 3 methods but I guess one is a better one and that’s how I activated my gift card.

Call SBI Rewardz and give a request for activation.

They will verify and take the request. Took me about ~10 days. They again call and SMS you after the activation.

2️⃣ At the top of the form, clearly write:

SBI Visa Platinum Debit Card - Code - PVB

3️⃣ Inform the bank official that you want only the PVB Visa Platinum Debit Card. This is important because some branches issue a different debit card by default.

✅ Eligibility

There is no special eligibility requirement for this card.

👉 Customers with any SBI Savings Account variant can apply.

⚠️ Important Tips

• If a branch tells you that you need to maintain ₹50,000 or refuses to issue the card, don't worry.

• Simply visit another SBI branch. Branch staff awareness about this card varies, and many branches issue it without any such balance requirement.

• If the correct PVB Visa Platinum Debit Card has been applied for, ₹354 (₹300 issuance fee + 18% GST) is usually debited from your account immediately. This is a good indication that the correct card request has been processed.
