Happy Thanksgiving to the #bteam - a family of strangers brought together by the man with a heart of gold, @mrBobbyBones. A group who bands together when one of us, or sometimes a community, is in need. Also, thx to @RadioAmy@RadioLunchbox@ProducerEddie @BobbyBonesRay.
Today we honor the legacy of Tony Budet as he embarks on his well-deserved retirement after 38 years of service. For his commitment and dedication, the city of Austin recognizes him and has officially declared today, March 10, 2023 as “Tony Budet Day.”

"I have the honor of uplifting Black students and ensuring their voices are heard. I also can guarantee that students see a positive, hard-working, and hopefully influential leader in me.” Kyle is a shining example of Members who are making an impact. #blackhistorymonth2023
@instagram My acct was one of possibly 4k that got suspended for no reason. I followed the instructions for suspended accts, but then got the wheel of death! Help please!
There is no ‘teacher shortage’. There are thousands of qualified experiences teachers who are no longer teaching. There’s a shortage of respect and proper compensation for teachers allowing them to actually teach.
This is a harrowing account of one mother's trip to a county fair that ended abruptly due to an active shooter. Please read and share. #EndGunViolence#GunReformNow
Two weeks ago, I had four precious 12-year-old girls, including my daughter, with me at the county fair. They were getting blue Icees and corndogs for the walk to the car and ride home. (1/21)
Not sure who needs to hear this but Beto is an extremely smart, down-to-earth, energetic, empathetic person and I’m glad he’s the Texas Democratic Party’s nominee for governor. Never really heard anybody say anything different than that. Oh, and he can totally win.
Life isn't easy. Wherever possible, as a society, we should make life just a little easier, just a little more convenient, more kind, more just. Most people are willing to sacrifice a little bit, to show some grace towards one another. We should encourage more of that.
@NPR Really disappointed to see this opinion from @NPR. CURSE WORDS DON'T KILL PEOPLE. And believe me, children and the elderly can handle a couple of curse words...
The Texas GOP supports gun violence, racism, misogyny, and hate. It is a horrible combination. We saw it play out in El Paso in 2019. This does not have to be our new normal in TX and America. Our love is with El Paso today. We are fighting for all of you! Juntas podemos.
@AbbottCampaign @GregAbbott_TX That's a hard pass. Can't wait to see him out of office soon (but not soon enough). Texas deserves GOOD leadership. Abbott, lyin' @tedcruz and that POS @KenPaxtonTX are not what I consider GOOD LEADERS.
VOTE THEM OUT.
The PACT Act is a stand alone bill. The PACT Act has no spending unrelated to Veteran's Health and Benefits. There is no "Pork". There is no budget maneuver that then allows Dems to backfill w whatever they want...but as a registered Liberal Piece of Shit...don't take my word.
My politics: all people should be free to love who they love, build the family they want to build; access quality housing, healthcare, transportation, food & edu they can afford; do meaningful work; know they belong to a community they can count on. And it shouldn’t be that hard.
I need someone to explain to me why it’s always “if you can’t pay rent, buy fewer lattes and avocado toasts” and not “if you can’t pay your employees a living wage, buy fewer yachts, rockets and spacecraft”.
Explain it to me like I’m in kindergarten.
Less than a week before I’m in San Antonio for an interview with @BetoORourke. Don’t forget to buy your tickets or donate, if you can, and we’ll see you on July 11: https://t.co/kVrqyKj8zh
