Every good bicycle ride starts with a helmet, and riding to school is no exception. Before your kids walk out the door, remind them of the importance of wearing a helmet.
With continued heat and smoke, the @City_of_Pullman will open an emergency cooling shelter Sunday, August 15. The shelter is available from noon to 6:00 pm in the Pullman Senior Center on the Pullman City Hall campus (190 SE Crestview Street).
Alright, so the heat is here 🥵 But good news - cooler temperatures are in store for the not so distant future. Let's seek shade & A/C and drink plenty of water in the meantime. 💧
With temperatures predicted in the high 90's over the next few days, we encourage those who need to escape the heat to visit the "cool" Neill Public Library at Grand & Olsen. Library hours are:
Monday-Thursday: 10a-7p
Friday & Saturday: 10a-6p

High temperature records are in jeopardy of being broken through Saturday. Relief is in sight though, as near normal temperatures are expected into next week. Stay hydrated, limit time outdoors during afternoon hours, and make sure to check on friends/family. #orwx#orwx#heat🥵

School is back in session, and that means increased foot and bicycle traffic in neighborhoods and around schools. Keep kids safe – don’t speed, and always watch out for pedestrians and cyclists. #BackToSchool
