Dear PM Carney,
While you’re probably spending the weekend brainstorming with your team on the retaliatory measures, here are a few ideas that I believe most Canadians support:
- the days of diplomacy and being nice are behind us
- order the Saab Gripen that will be locally built
- ban US alcohol
- ban dairy products outright
- restore the Digital Services Tax that will partially pay for the support for impacted businesses from Trump’s tariffs
- impose tariffs on products for which Canadians have alternatives and are produced in Republican states.
Like if you agree 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Save your apologies
You've had almost 2 years of this bullshit and nobody's on the streets doing a damn thing to remove that motherfucker
We're done
We'll be business partners in the future, mostly due to geography. But we'll never be friends or allies again. That's done.
America’s inability to mitigate, contain and prevent the catastrophic consequences of global warming that it causes must be addressed. This perpetual negligence to address climate change harms our health and our quality of life and our economic prosperity.
I guess Canada could get our wildfires under control a little faster if we brought home the CDN firefighters that are helping fight wildfires in USA right now. https://t.co/bzBHENhDqH
Americans criticizing Canada for not being able to control 1 billion acres of forrest when they can't even control their own lettuce supply from giving themselves explosive diarrhea.
From Osoyoos BC: As you can see, thick smoke is rolling in from the south & the smell of forest fire is strong. This isn't from a fire in Canada, it's from a big fire in Nespelem, Washington state, but we're not complaining. Know why? Because we understand how fire, wind, & the jetstream work. Hoping our southerly neighbors in Washington stay safe & obey evac orders. Prayers up for those in harm's way.
FINAL WARNING TO USA: Manage your guns and criminals to prevent murders in Canada. Canadians are paying the price for US inaction, year after year.
Sovereignty comes with responsibility, and your responsibility to prevent guns from crossing into another country has not been met.
@CGRingland@WilliamShatner Not trying to. The argument was about Bastille day being a holiday in Québec, which I only said it wasn't. Got attacked end called a "know it all" by mr. Shatner for it. (plus my damn auto-correct changed who for ou without me noticing it). Yes I did retaliate against his attack.
When wildfires happen in your country Canada offers support and sends our own firefighters to help. When it happens to us you get mad because we can’t control the weather?
