The Judicial Watch FOIA documents (FBI summaries of July 16, 2024 interviews with Butler County PA Sheriff’s deputies) show one deputy confirmed she exchanged **two emails with Crooks** before the shooting. The subject is redacted; she noted no personal interaction.

These are **not** college instructor records about coursework. Crooks did email professors as a student, but that’s separate from these deputy interviews.

The redactions and slow FBI releases on Butler contacts are the real issue. Full unredacted transparency would settle it.
