The accused Pam the Bird graffiti vandal is back behind bars after a Bolte Bridge stunt. There are calls for him to stay in jail until he repays the full cost of his alleged damage, while others say he should be forced to clean it up himself. > https://t.co/T9PInQAFrz
🇦🇺 An Australian graffiti artist scaled a 460-foot bridge tower in Melbourne, painted a giant cartoon bird on it, and refused to come down until someone drone-delivered him a peanut butter sandwich.
While up there, he also took a moment to demand lower taxes.
Police shut down a lane of the Bolte Bridge for hours as the 22-year-old man dangled his legs off the top, casually posting to Instagram the whole time.
The bird looks a lot like Pam the Bird, a mystery tag that's been popping up all over Melbourne for years, including on the heritage-listed Flinders Street station.
The sandwich never showed up.
His final post before climbing down: "The audacity to fly a drone up here with no sandwich."
