@ScotNational According to the Barnett formula Scotland will get a windfall from this triple lock proposal to add to the social care pot...and hopefully make it alot better than whats currently on offer. JS trying to pull the wool over eyes of those who dont understand how devolution works.
@Lord_Sugar Agree with all apart from cutting back on military expenditure. Take money from welfare so those on welfare were provided with needs..not wants. Also a path to employment...any job. It you are on welfare you shouldnt be fussy. Its easier to get another job once you have one job.
@rosscolquhoun Are you kidding me? Its a "thing" on paper in Scotland but not in reality. Trying to get slots is like golddust..and when you do its a rushed 15/20mins. Shocking convayer belt service. Our elderly deserve better.
@esther_livesey@marie_mirrat Max 4 visits a day for personal care. If its anything like Scotland slots are golddust and are about 20mins each. Stickinh plaster on broken leg....again...
@BBCBreaking Ummm....this is looking like an attempted 9/11. Any chance BBC could update with actual detail...and maybe leave out the word "apparantly"
@ValMThatcher@louderry@CharlosFarlos It should...but it wont. Also personal care slots are like gold dust...and once in place not nearly enough time allocated. Old people treated like they are on a convayer belt.
@uk_decoded@GBNEWS Watch footage. Boat was empty. Rescuers saw boat Danny was on coming over and one of them then jumped into the boat. Put himself in danger. No need. Also there were other boats arounf so even though he put himself in danger by jumping on the empty boat..."danger" wasnt an issue.
@GoggsJ@GMB I have first hand experience of it. Alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, "beauty" proceedures, 3 holidays a year, gym membs, PTs. I cant afford these things as a tax payer. Its about needs not wants. Tax payers dont want to fund any more than that. If they want more. Work for it.
@mark_jones258 Know what they are likely to get as social care in return? Same as Scotland. Its only for those able to manage at home. A couple of personal care slots a day. 20mins/half hr...if you can get a slot. Wait list in Scotland is huge..not effective. Cost/benefit not good enough.
@Patrici89225734 As far as i understand the care would be bare minimum. Home visits for personal care. These slots are 20mins to half hr. It wouldnt help with those requiring more than the basic. If we were talking it would pay for a high level of 24 hr care then you would get my interest.
@jeffbarrow81 If it included high standard of residential care then yes. Unfortunatly i am led to believe its only for personal care at home. ....which could end up being 1 or 2 half hour slots a day. His book is all title and cover with insufficient content.
