Aaand here is one of the print editions of my latest travel feature for Postmedia. After all these years, seeing my work in print never gets old. There’s still something special about holding a story in your hands and seeing it come to life on the page. #travelwriting#travel
Have you ever heard of Minca, Colombia? Most people haven’t. But for bird lovers, this tiny mountain town is nothing short of paradise. Discover why #Minca#Colombia is a birdwatching wonderland in my latest #travel feature: https://t.co/qSdouNznhT
One of the best backpacking trips I’ve done so far in the Rockies is the Yoho Valley Loop/Iceline Trail in Yoho National Park. Since most of the trail is above 2,000 metres, you get to experience some of the wildest landscapes in #Canada#travel

#Huacachina is surrounded by the largest sand dunes in South America. Before I went to play in the sand, I explored #Paracas – a small town located beside Paracas National Reserve. These places should be on every travellers list in #Peru! #travel

I recently did the 4 day trek to Lost City in #Colombia. This isn’t just a hike through the jungle - it’s a journey through Colombia's history, echoing an ancient civilization that still whispers through the mountains. Watch https://t.co/oAslElOT1U to see what it's like! #travel

Adam is so inspiring. I've read most of his books and recommended all of them to anyone that loves outdoor adventures. Maybe some day I'll also get to explore a slice of Canada's far north...
There’s something freeing about hopping on a scooter in a foreign country. You can go wherever you want, soaking in unfamiliar sights and sounds. I scootered around #Bohol and #Cebu, stopping to snorkel with sardines, go canyoneering and more! https://t.co/xNhfwz1BtK #Travel
Well, it’s December and I’m dreaming about a tropical paradise. Last February, I went on an epic 3-day island hopping adventure in Palawan, Philippines. Like many travel stories, this adventure didn’t begin smoothly. What happened? Watch https://t.co/cJXVvSjIrh #Travel#Palawan
Rising 806 metres above sea level, Gros Morne Mountain doesn’t look intimidating. But this 17 km hike in Gros Morne National Park should not be underestimated. Here's what it's like wandering through a slice of alpine arctic tundra: https://t.co/OCj4Qfkt90 #Travel#Newfoundland
I decided to explore more of my own country this year. In September, I went on a road trip in #Newfoundland that included four days exploring Gros Morne National Park – a place I’ve been wanting to visit for many years. What was it like? Watch https://t.co/Y1261hX6ed #Travel
It’s a magical moment when everything comes together – tying my own fly, using the right lines and finding a fish. But for me, fly fishing isn’t just about catching a fish. It’s an intimate experience with some of the wildest places on Vancouver Island. https://t.co/0FL0gi9GOr

Shirahama is known for its beautiful beaches and onsen (hot springs). I love beaches so of course I had to check out #Shirahama even though it was November. It was the foot onsens scattered around the resort town that I enjoyed the most. We need these in Canada. #Japan#travel
The Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in #Kyoto is famed for the 10,000 red torii gates that straddle a network of paths on Mt. Inari. It feels like you’re going through a tunnel of gates when hiking to the summit (233 metres), which is where you can escape the crowds #Japan#travel
#Nagano is a laid back city surrounded by the Japanese Alps. This is also where you can explore Matsumoto Castle or hike in Jigokudani Park to see the famous Japanese macaques (known as snow monkeys) sitting in hot pools. No monkeys were in the pools on this day. #Japan#travel
I don’t typically post about food, but there’s soooo much delicious food in #Japan. I’m never wondering, what should I eat? Instead I’m asking, when can we eat? #travel#TTOT
The sand dunes in the seaside city of #Tottori span 16 km in length and are 2.4 km wide, making them the largest dunes in Japan. Dunes are cool, especially when they're along the ocean. And walking barefoot is the best way to experience this unique place. #Japan#travel#TTOT
