@probablymightbe@RiftQuill by Danann which Griffith couldn't penetrate. So he just waited for a full moon (which only happens once a month) transformed into the boy, and destroyed it from within. I'm not even sure Griffith knew if Casca had regained her mind or not, and I don't think it was relevant to him
