About Time.
A number of people have commented that the clock on the Old Town Hall has been stuck at 6 o’clock. Well, we have good news: council sources say that a contractor has been found to repair and restart the clock, and Richmond will be back on GMT soon.
The Society is delighted that the RSPCA Fountain has been repaired. We raised this issue publicly during the summer, and we thank @LBRUT for taking action.
We also applaud the @RichmondMayFair charity fund which has made a generous contribution towards the refurbishment.
Great photos. Something for all ages, businesses & stallholders had a good day and record number of visitors for Museum. Plenty of interest for wind up by Femi Koleoso in Whittaker Avenue
A festival is taking Centre Stage in Richmond today. It’s part of the council’s vision for the town to open it up to the arts and public events.

Absolutely thrilled to see Hampton’s very own Maz Regan being featured on @BBCLondonNews for his nomination in the BBC Make A Difference awards for his amazing work as a volunteer kids’ football coach
A thoroughly well deserved nomination

There’s a new mural on the pedestrian footbridge between St Mary’s Grove and Sheendale Road in North Richmond. It aims to commemorate the heritage of the area - from agricultural to industrial.

The Deputy Mayor enjoyed attending BCA Barnes Fair to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. A much-loved community fundraising event with wonderful
shopping, live music, mini funfair and events stage.
The Society opposes the plan by @metpoliceuk to close its front counter service in Twickenham. This means there will be no police station in the borough to report crime in person.
We agree with @LBRUT that this is “deeply concerning and a major blow to local policing.”
Absolutely furious about @MayorofLondon’s and @metpoliceuk plan to close #Twickenham police station’s public counter.
When Richmond police station was closed in 2017 residents were told they would still be able to use Twickenham.
@munirawilson and I will be opposing this cut
The Richmond Society is asking the developers of the site of the former Richmond Inn Hotel to make their future plans known. It’s currently an eyesore, and we want to know when remedial work will start.
I’m inspired by the incredible work of @medicallifelinesukraine . In just two years, they’ve delivered over 100 ambulances and essential medical supplies, showcasing the true spirit of community. Their dedication to providing critical support during challenging times exemplifies our shared humanity. Each ambulance represents hope and a commitment to saving lives.Let’s support and celebrate @medicallifelinesukraine Every contribution makes a difference. Together, we can show that kindness knows no borders. ❤️
