"You're the best of our country. That's not hyperbole. You're the ones who sign up and run toward danger when duty calls. Less than 1% of Americans make the choice that you make, that you made...the other 99% of us, we owe you," Pres. Biden says to US troops serving in the UK.
Real change in this state starts by having qualified, trained, and dedicated candidates running up and down the ballot in Alabama. If that's you, let us know here: https://t.co/Hl27CRCPAf
Prosecutors present closing arguments in Derek Chauvin trial: “George Floyd’s final words on May 25, 2020 were ‘Please, I can’t breathe,’ and he said those words to ‘Mr. Officer.’ He said those words to the defendant.” https://t.co/9yYgqVkDw9

For 50 years, Dems have lacked a prez who could build on New Deal: Carter won when liberalism was tired. Clinton said “era of Big Government is over.” Obama faced bipartisan consensus that deficits are bad. Biden, also ennobled by suffering, is FDR’s first true heir since LBJ.
This week in Congress:
Dems: Passed $1.9T COVID package to deliver stimulus checks (w/ dependents!), cut child poverty in half, extend $300 UI, prevent cuts in state + local services, largest-ever investment in Native communities, etc
GOP: Took a week to read The Cat in the Hat
I should have thought of this before, but the optics of @GovernorKayIvey lifting the mask mandate after she got her shot but when millions of Alabamians still can’t get theirs would be very bad.
Let me end the suspense: Biden won’t get everything right, and he will do things I and many people will disagree with. But if you believe we need to make America GOOD again, he’s coming from a place of decency and integrity that is paramount and consequential.
