Christian writer, retired educator and principal, legally blind but striving to thrive instead of just survive. Published as Pam Watts Harris and Pam Harris.
My second book about living with vision loss is almost ready! "Living Fully with Vision Loss" is about strategies and technology, but it is also about staying healthy, both mentally and physically, learning to laugh at yourself, and realizing your full potential. Stay turned!
My book "Learning to Live with Vision Loss" is on sale for 99 cents as an ebook via kindle! This sale will end Nov. 22 at 10 A.M. CT. When the doctor says "I'm sorry" and you don't know what to do, my book will get you started! @TheBlindLifesam
Dealing with vWhen you're new to vision loss, it can be tough, an emotional roller coaster. There is hope for better days, but you must learn to live a new normal. Follow my YouTube channel, Journey to Sight, to learn more. #blind#lowvision#blindtok
If you enjoy Hallmark stories and are looking for short reads like a novella, you might enjoy this story set in the Memphis area. What happens when wealth meets middle-class? And what is Kyla's secret? #Hallmark#Christianfiction I may be legally blind, but I'm still writing!
Age is a number and yet it's not. Some people are old way too early, and others have energy and good health well into their 80s and 90s. The difference? Lifestyle. Choices. Genetics. When you're 40, 65 seems old. When you reach it, you realize it's not.
@alexanjk1123 I bought this 45 back then. I couldn't afford albums or just didn't try to save money (I was 13 and had a paper route even though I was a girl!), so I always purchased 45's. Albums came later when I got a better paying job!
With the help of husband and son, I am making plans to create my own YouTube channel. I'll be showing--not just telling--how I use devices and strategies to do almost everything I want to do even though I'm legally blind. Be sure to follow if you want to find out more!
Seventy years ago this July, Elvis rocked the Memphis area with "That's All Right Mama." In 2004, I interviewed Gordon Stoker of The Jordanaires. Here's the article published by the Elvis Information Network.https://t.co/ueFYzJx3t9
@GrandCanyonNPS I have lost my vision and can no longer enjoy beautiful scenery due to legal blindness. I am so glad I was ale to visit the Grand Canyon four times in my life--the scenery is part of the experience, but the feeling you get--indescribable.
If you read my book "Learning to Live with Vision Loss" and thought it was worth the read, I'd really, really, really appreciate it if you would post a review on Amazon to help spread the word for those who need the info. Thanks! @TheBlindLifesam @TheIrisVision @HadleyHelps
I'm working toward my goal of getting information out to the new-to-vision-loss and those in their circle. I was interviewed for a 30-minute program that will air this Sunday at 6:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. on WCMT Radio 101.3. @WCMT@Hadley @TheBlindLifeSam @IrisVision
@ElvisPresley@VisitGraceland When I see photos like these, I'm reminded how Elvis refused to wear jeans because of his poverty growing up. My dad, who was born 9 years before Elvis, was the same way. He never, ever wore jeans or overalls once he left the family farm.
@hillbillycatep I was 11 days old on June 5, 1956--27 years later on June 5, I gave birth to my first child. Nice to know now that June 5 was an important milestone in the Elvis story!
