Rory McIlroy is an investor in Whoop, wears one of the company's wristbands while playing, and allows the brand to share his data periodically.

Here are some of his Masters highlights:

• 24,000+ steps on Sunday
• 91,000+ steps during the tournament

Rory's heart rate spiked to 135 BPM during his tee shot on 18, dropped to 121 BPM during his approach shot, fell further to 105 BPM during his winning putt, and then jumped back up to 150 BPM during his celebration.

His resting heart rate for the week was 47-49 BPM.

Rory says he follows a strict routine during the PGA Tour season to ensure proper rest and recovery:

• No caffeine after 2 PM
• Last meal at least 2 hours before bed
• Magnesium and theanine for sleep quality
• Blue-light-blocking glasses in the evening
• Sauana or Epsom salt bath when available
• Cool room temperature for sleep

He follows the same three-hour routine before every round: arrive at the course → warm up in the gym → eat breakfast → hit balls on the range → putting green.

Rory says he believes his focus on longevity will help him play another 10+ years at a high level, and his physiological age on Whoop is now 1.5 years younger than his actual age.

Plus, it turned out to be a pretty good investment.

Rory initially invested in Whoop in 2020 when the company was valued at $1.2 billion. While we don't know exactly how much he invested, Whoop recently raised another round at a $10.1 billion valuation.

That's an 8.4x multiple in five years.

Not bad, not bad.

Michael Balcar Monday Q’d into the @ISCOChamp and he needs our help.

Balcar is the asst pro at Brandywine in Toledo Ohio, works full-time, and spends most of the money he earns chasing his dream.

Most days he works 7-2 and then practices till dark or works until close and then goes to the Simulators and practices well into the night.

Last week he made the nearly 5 hour drive to the ISCO pre-q. After getting thru he drove back home worked each day.

On Sunday after work he drove the 5 hours back to Louisville for the Monday Q, shot 66 and got thru.

Only one problem. Balcar has $250 in his account.

He spends everything he makes on chasing his dream and now that hes here he needs our support.

I’ve said it for years: GOLF is the only sport that can buy fans with its venues.

I hope the next LPGA commissioner makes this a priority.

Let’s be honest, would as many people watch the Augusta National Women’s Amateur without the *Augusta* component?

Of course not.

We all know that growing a sport with a “megastar” talent is risky business. Unfortunately, the Tiger Woods and Caitlyn Clarks of the world are anomalies.

So, again, I go back to venues.

I mean no disrespect to the courses the LPGA plays and truly appreciate the support of their sponsors—including Chevron, which has poured millions into the women’s game.

But Carlton Woods isn’t Mission Hills…and it certainly isn’t Oakmont.

You may wonder why I put a photo of Cypress Point in this post. It’s easy.

My advice to the next commissioner is MAKE THIS COURSE A PRIORITY.

Marion Hollins was one of the great golf course developers of the 20th century. Her fingerprints are all over Cypress Point, Augusta National, and Pasatiempio.

Can you imagine “The Marion Hollins LPGA Championship, presented by Mastercard?” I can. It just takes the right focus and pitch to make it happen.

There are venues out there like Cypress Point that have reasons (like Hollins) to be invested in the women’s game. The stories are endless and compelling. And they’re begging to be told.

It’s time to get these women on truly compelling venues…and just like ANWA, the viewers and spectators will show up in droves.
