Later today, @NUP_Ug's Waiswa Mufumbiro's matter will return to Kawempe Magistrates Court in Kanyanya for charges of incitement of violence.
In the previous appearance, Waiswa's mandatory bail application was declined and dismissed on public interest basis despite his legal team arguing that the accused had spent 92 days on remand without trial at the time of the mandatory bail application.

Mugumya Gadaffi has now spent 3 years in prison without trial on charges of stealing a jumper.
The regime's aim is simply to throw opposition supporters in jail with trial.
We have people in this country that are proud to be Inspector General of Police (IGP), Chief Justice and Speaker of Parliament! I need to add Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and Attorney General.
While appearing on a local TV station last year, the army spokesperson Felix Kulayigye, emphasised that the state doesn't abduct but it arrests those who violate the law or disturb other people's peace.
However, arrests can only be conducted by following due process. This includes, the officers identifying themselves, producing an arrest warrant and holding the individual arrested in a gazetted place of detention for a lawful period. All these are continously being violated.

We checked on our comrades Olivia Lutaaya, Sauda Madaada, Kaija Doreen, as well as Madinah Namaganda and Hannifah Nakibuuka (charged alongside Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi) at Luzira Women's Prison. We also checked on the head of @NUP_Ug institutions, Akiso Benjamin, who remains in detention for engaging in a peaceful demonstration. "Courage over fear" was the message Doreen Kaija requested us to share with all. A big THANK YOU to all who check on them, support their families and continue to push for their freedom.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me…and there was no one left to speak for me - Martin Niemoller.
We should all be reminded that injustice only succeeds when people wait until it’s their turn to face it.
No one is safe until we’re all safe!
